I do think Ricky had a big impact. There was a lot of talk about his speech after the globes, more so than any of the Academy winners of Sunday. More people will have seen that 7 minutes monologue than any of the acceptance speeches from Sunday and he really struck a cord with the general public.
Its true, the public don't care about watching rich people pat themselves on the back for 4 hours, turning up in their limos and 10k dresses then preaching we have to save the planet. They should cut it down to 2 hours and try leaving politics aside
Same. They're both different. I couldn't even tell you whether t2 is better than t1.
Aliens might be my favourite but on a visual side, Avatar for me is the greatest movie experience of all time. The script may have been lame but no film has ever truly immersed me into a world like that
Imagine if the house of commons banned people from heated debates, there would only be one guy in the room lol. Debates make interesting convos and sometimes they get heated, that's normal, don't turn the site into fox news, differing opinions make interesting conversations
Sam Raimi? SAM F#$KING RAIMI? This film is going to slay. After Endgame I've found myself wondering how i can keep getting excited for MCU movies and then they go choose Sam drag me to the evil dead Raimi
Now all they've got to do is cast Willem Dafoe and this is perfect
I don't get how anyone thought the director of The Hangover would take home and Oscar. It's a shame he can't go back to making comedies but i can see why he had a change in genre, PC culture has butchered comedy
