  1. So i watched this at home after seeing no trailers and wow. We start off with a bit of star trek, delve a little into total recall before being lunged into Fury road.... on the moon, and it's only been 40 minutes. What is this masterpiece? As i followed Brad Pitt's pin point Ryan Gosling expression through a journey of interstellar visuals and face eating space monkeys i begin to wonder what mystery lies ahead. We finally get toward the end of the film and i begin to realise this Liv Tyler seems to be a curse for boyfriend's fathers in space. No wonder Brad wanted nothing to do with her. As the film comes to its Gravity esque closure with a bit of space surfing and nuke riding i begin to think this jumbled parts of all those great space movies we love had just been blended into a cocktail of juicy sci-fi goodness, and i loved it. That being said i can see why this movie flopped. A sci fi movie attracting sci fi fans with a synopsis surrounded in mystery of looking for alien life, and the underlining message is fuck exploration, cherish what we have rather than reaching into the unknown. That would be like if Interstellar took the characters to the wormhole and Cooper just went 'shall we just go home? I Miss my daughter'
  2. Why get John Cena if you're just going to leave him out of the marketing
  3. Definitely agree with this. Sometimes an Unknown actor brings you into the world and makes it more relatable. Like what they did with Avatar, would have been hard to be fully immersed in a never seen before world if Leo was the main lead
  4. Green book was certainly a step up from The Shape of Water which was instantly forgotten upon release
  5. So true, especially with Skyfall The 5 minutes dogfight in Dunkirk was better shot and more impressive than anything in 1917 though as an overall film i can see why some would prefer 1917.
  6. I loved Snatch and Lock Stock, hope this is similar. Brad pitt gave his career best performance in Snatch, disagree? Ill fight you
  7. Marketing for ST09 was brilliant. Trailer 3 really sold it imo. Such an awesome year for Sci fi with D9 and Avatar too
  8. 60m for BB3? After 17 years it just goes to show how much of a crowd pleaser Bad Boys 2 was in its day.
  9. Even if this is the best reviewed of the trilogy it will never replicate that feeling I had sneaking into bad boys 2 at 13 years old and walking out feeling like a rebel
  10. I'd love for this to surprise and crack 120m. A week ago i doubted 60m total. I wonder if we could see a spike in interest here, after all Will Smith used to be box office king
  11. You really are over thinking the Tim Allen apology. It was one of the few jokes that could have been aimed at anyone presenting along side tom hanks. He apologised because he took it to heart and pretended not to understand it, his political views had nothing to do with it. Its as if he felt sorry for him. Im pretty sure Mel gibson is far right and i dont remember him getting an apology. Theres also a huge difference in tweeting out to your followers and using an entertainment award ceremony built for patting each other on the back as a platform to preach. If you can't see that then i don't know what to say. His monologue was clearly his way of mimicing the public's opinion that we don't want to be preached to by actors, it's why these shows have been getting less and less views, ththere is a time and place for it.
  12. Great Gerwig has so far made 3 movies, one of which she recieved a nomination for best director. She missed out this year and the media are having a field day. Its not sexism for crying out load, she doesn't need to be nominated any time her movie gets 90% on RT. Christopher Nolan has made better movies, more movies and shares the same number of nominations. The media need to stop with these accusations, its pathetic People are snubbed every year regardless of the colour of their skin or gender. You could argue Rian Johnson was snubbed harder than Greta but you wont see that in click bait media articles
  13. The only hero's in Vietnam were the Vietnamese. They should make a film from their perspective.
  14. You can't praise the humour in long shot then turn around and tell me that Heil Hitler was childish. I guess some people just prefer slapstick
  15. Dead titties, dead fat people being ran over whilst Will Smith quotes "that shit is nasty", gay innuendos, dead titties, 15 year old Megan Fox being a stripper cameo, racist banter and did i mention dead titties. If this film was released today, critics would have a meltdown
  16. I think Taiki Waiti humour is very similar to British humour, it's not for everyone. Some people prefer subtle humour whilst other prefer more simple humour like Seth Rogan falling down some stairs....
  17. Yeah he is 100% gay, his Game Of Thrones co star made that very obvious.
  18. Wow this film took me by surprise, one moment i'm in tears of laughter then the next scene just literally in tears. Steve Merchant always has the ability to make me laugh and Sam Rockwell was such a sweet character by the end it left me with quite the smile on my face Heil Hitler A-
