I just saw the movie, and I had such a blast time! Tom Cruise did it again and make us believe firmly practical effect is the key to the thrill and adrenaline. The movie overall is a step-up from Fallout and JW4 and I certainly don't mind the long run time.
MI7 is one the rare blockbuster that I would call it "woke-free". Totally entertaining, thrilling and an exciting part 1 closure. If old white man didn't show up, then they shut the fuck up and stop getting butthurt for Hollywood stop making movie that appeal to them.
Nothing in the trailer nor review indicate SoF is a faith-based movie. It is straight out an action movie, only to have its marketing tactic heavily targeting church-going crowd.
The Tuesday preview and countless early screening really confuse my interpretation of the number. Fallout made $77.5m in its first 5 days and I don't know how much higher I can hope for MI7.
Surprise female turnout for SOF at 57% given the action thriller feel of the movie. Wonder if it is because of child issue connect more with mothers than fathers.
SoF plays more like a regular action movie instead of a frontloaded cult following. The A+ cinemascore movie should come close to 40m by Sunday, which no doubt will become a success story of the summer.
If the review is at least decent, Insidious will have even bigger breakout potential but the review is terrible and I not sure if they will impact IM through weekend. And also strangely for a widely known movie, insidious doesn't have much review on RT now. Only 23 reviews registered so far.

A movie selling patriotism won number 1 at BO on ID is a big fitting headline, regardless how they spin and report the number. It got A+ cinemascore and 99% verified audience score. Yes, there could be some manipulation going on here but they got people attention.
You need to hear it from someone to know this movie has a cliffhanger style of ending , when the name itself tell you it is a Part 1 movie?
If you looking for a movie with concrete closure to see in cinema, you probably will end up with nothing much to see.
The presale actually has been improving these past 3 days, and that is before the review embargo lifted. I can only see the presale will keep gaining momentum from now on with Cruise coming back to USA for final push.
Despite having zero interest, this movie turns out to be better expected! This is another movie like Elemental that I love it more than expected. The first batch of critics was too harsh.
Domestic wise I would say it is like a Aladdin 2.0. The movie still on track to $300m finish if this past weekend is any sign. The movie is $19m away from $300m as of Sunday and the past 7 days added $11m and we still have strong mid-week boosted by ID and a upcoming slow weekend.
