Thor only lost 5 theaters. However, it lost all of the IMAX and most of the PLF screens in the remaining theaters to Nope.

I may get kicked out of BOT. I was born in 1970 and I have never seen ET. We didn't go to a lot of movies growing up and by the time it got to TV I was more into watching sci-fi and action movies than watching that type of movie. I probably should watch it now. In fact, I believe it's currently on my DVR. However, since I didn't see it when I was younger, I'm not sure I would appreciate what it is.

I would be careful of posting any numbers that you think might be by EC. I could see him trying to troll the BOT forums with false numbers. Just wait and get them from Charlie or another online source. The thread and forum will survive. It just pushes the conversations back a little.

We'll still get early numbers, just not really early numbers. @charlie Jatinder has to wake up first. I believe it's still pretty early there.

Interesting. Both the Wednesday to Thursday and the Thursday to Thursday drops are identical to TGM's day 21 drops. Which was the Thursday after JWD opened. It really held pretty good after that until Thor opened. Maybe it does it again.

Where do you think TGM ends up overall. I keep thinking over 1.35b. However, projecting the international numbers is not my strong point. But if it ends up higher than domestic which is now happening then that should put it more around the 1.375-1.4b range. Am I thinking correctly here?

As someone who only found BOT in 2019, didn't join until 2021, and does not post that often, this last 24hrs has been very interesting. It's been really great to see the self-called "old timers" posting, discussing, commenting, interacting and reminiscing.

I used to grab the USA Today paper every Monday in the 80's and 90's to check the top 10 box office movies. Sometimes those slackers held them until Tuesday. 50 cents down the drain. LOL.

I think The Godfather is too high. It's not even in the same class as those cinematic Giants.

Day 42 for Black Panther was the Thursday before Good Friday and the Easter Weekend. So it went up 18% over Wednesday as some of the schools and businesses are closed on Friday. Hopefully it should rebound over the weekend as BP's Saturday bump was lower than normal as Friday may have been a little higher too.

TGM is going over 1b. It has plenty of run domestically and overseas left plus South Korea has yet to open. SK is a huge Tom Cruise market.

I could see the sharp drop being split over the next two weeks. It won't drop as much next week as we might think since it's Father's Day and it has a Monday Holiday which should help it. It then drops a little bit more than what a normal 3rd weekend might because it is coming off that Father's Day\Holiday weekend.
