  1. yeah imagine if they refuse a re-release because they already gave an extension
  2. no mention of imax (nice) Imagine if avatar misses TGM o 700 because cameron thought it would be funny to re-release titanic
  3. will it keep any 3d or imax? if the answer is not then I dont think this extension is worth it
  4. 3 ant-people is one too many, wouldnt be surprised if they killed one off to showcase Kang, Scott seems likes the easy answer but it seems too obvious
  5. is the whole "lost time-didnt see child grow up" theme lifted from the original BP2 script? or does marvel want to go all in on that theme? Im not a parent, but I just cant see the writers getting much dramatic juice out of superhumans who are all relatively young losing a few years
  6. Thats gotta be one of the worst posters i've seen, "fury of the gods" is too small and no one can be blamed for thinking this is a poster of the first one, I really like the first one, but so far this has done a terrible job differentiating it from the first one, marketing should go all in on the number 2
  7. that method of getting numbers was a lot of fun, so were the hints and the misdirections, and it mixed so well with an exiting run like avatars unless it somehow flops I dont expect quantumania to be much fun, hopefully this isnt the last big fun run to come in the near future
  8. keyerzone123 is from a different chain right? and the comscore guys (empirecity and CharJat) dont get numbers till after 11 central time right?
  9. will ant-man keep the imaxes after it ow? where will they go after ant-man ow and before shazam? seems like shazam wont come out in imax, so one more week if it regains them, but creed 3 will
  10. I've never seen so many old people in theather (outside of old people moves), in my first screening there was an a very old lady who came in a wheelchair with her whole family and had to be carried to her seat
  11. what would 1.65 os have been with 19 exchange rates? what about 09?
  12. saw avatar 2 for the second time, this time in hfr (it worked to great effect most of the time but needed a bit more ironing) Pretty insane for me to see a movie a 2nd time in theaters, only other time I did it was with avatar 1, and that was mostly because I wanted to show others the tech, this rewatch of 2 was for myself, because its such a relaxing movie and I wanted to clear my thoughts surrouding it the first half was more effective because I actually cared about the kids right from the get go, many aspects of the movie warmed my heart, and that was even more pronounced the second time around, some of content in the first half is still a bit uninteresting but my fondness for the characters helped me power through the 2nd half is still very impressive, but it was a little bit less insane than I remembered it being, wow factor was diminished a bit, still awesome though A few scenes felt like they were missing, particularily transition ones and those that help expand on a few points The big thing this rewatch highlighed was how great the pacing is, felt like 2 hours the first time around, but like 1.5 this time, not sure how Jimmy C managed that, moment to moment pacing between scenes is a bit awkward though Conclusion: Avatar 2 is a very flawed movie, but its such a pleasant and relaxing experience that I really dont care about those flaws too much, its just such an easy movie to watch and enjoy, and almost a week after the first viewing, it still captures my thoughts 8.8/10
  13. Finally saw Puss In Boots 2 DISSAPOINTING Thats the first thing that comes to my mind when it comes to that movie, but despite that I really really enjoyed it, and because of its mostly amazing humor I was entertained through Did not live up to its amazing first half (before the forrest). The opening section was just absolutely wonderful, and from them on the movie was planting the narrative seeds for something truly great, all of filled with amazing character writing for Puss and some truly memorable jokes. Its in the forrest, where the payoffs are suppossed to happen, that the movies stops trying to be great. From that point on, outside of one super scene (you all know the one) and constant barrage of great jokes, the movie took no real risks and rushed to a pretty standard and predictable ending. Particularily egerious is how much they rush Puss's character arc. Im not going to pretend I didnt have a great time (I was laughing through after all), but I just expected the second half (still good though) to be as confident as the awesome first 8.1/10
