mi7 is so weird, last summer we had tgm, jwd, minions and thor all make over 700m+ despite 2 of them being of questionable quality but the money was there for multiple films and all above 300m DOM but mi7 looks to be deflated cause of barbie/oppenheimer even tho it really only shares major demo crossover with one of them

fallout appears to be the peak of the series box office wise, in theory the followup to that film with such good reviews should be looking at record breaking numbers for the franchise and it doesn't appear to be the case tgm was a bit of a special case, the pent up demand for it brought out old people who had otherwise abandoned theaters and the WOM was the best we've seen for a huge blockbuster since probably titanic if a comic book movie/video game movie had the kind of reviews that DR pt 1 had, the presales would have exploded through the roof

what are current presales for mi7 and how good is the pace of growth compared to other recent hollywood films?

cruise and mcq should just transition to sci/fi/fantasy action cause clearly people don't care about your practical action franchise no matter how good the movie is

any numbers for previews for mi7 or reaction?

lets be real, the vast majority of young people (say 30 and under) would not see this movie in theaters no matter what, no point in wasting money trying to market to them

9/10 in Indonesia 4.4/5 in Hong Kong 9.5 Megabox in Korea 8.2 on IMDB None of that indicates a B+ cinemascore

clearly we should have gotten lewis strauss dolls, oppenheimer flavored ice cream and communist themed play stations

its at an 8.2 on imdb after 5.3k votes, it was running 8.3 a couple thousand scores ago, hardly freefalling and the early audience scores in korea/singapore/hong kong are all excellent
