  1. Barbie-Oppenheimer would also be my order if I didn't have to start at like 5PM due to work. So it's Oppenheimer first simply cause I ain't staying up till like 1AM.
  2. I'm still skeptical about it hitting $1B but it will comfortably be a sizable hit. I can't see this doing badly.
  3. They really should move Kingdom to that date tbh. It's on the same date as Furiosa, I would like one of them to move frankly.
  4. I'm seeing Oppenheimer tomorrow but as somebody who has read American Prometheus, it's likely a lot of people in suits and boardrooms talking. Lots and lots of talking.
  5. Yeah the first Aquaman rules. James Wan is a great director and he really let himself go ham with it.
  6. $19.5M for previews isn't the $23-25M behemoth that we were initially predicting here but I wouldn't be shocked if it's just due to a lack of screens. Still, should easily give it the biggest opening of the year.
  7. Moon Knight is strong to me cause of some of the more inspired directorial choices going on with it. Lots of mirrors, reflections, puddles, etc. throughout that emphasize the duality of the character. It's a bit wonky sometimes in the story department but I'm fine with that simply cause it was one of the more entertaining week-to-week MCU shows to me.
  8. This thing is basically DOA. I remember that some early buzz from when the script was first running around was that it was actually very, very good but it sounds like something must have happened in execution. Reshoots, rewrites, sitting on a shelf for like two years, this screams bad from second one. I blame getting Eli Roth to direct as the first warning sign.
  9. Dune moving to 2024 would also open up the VFX and tech Oscar races, arguably just handing it to Oppenheimer ngl
  10. Well said. I think this is why disclosure of streaming data is a big deal at the moment and why I'm fully on board with it. Sure, we can get a good metric from stuff like Nielsen but it's methods aren't perfect.
  11. Honestly it looks fine. David Harbor looks like he is having fun though.
  12. Fuck it, I'm in. I enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express quite a bit and while I didn't love Death on the Nile I love that he keeps getting to make these fun little murder mysteries. This one in particular looks really unique, with it's Gothic atmosphere and horror vibes, so I feel like this could be the best of the three if it sticks the landing.
  13. Oh definitely The Flash. Indy 5 has it's own baggage coming from that huge budget but The Flash's failure after the heels of the hype from the industry and the constant delays and hinging their entire cinematic universe on it is just... sublime. Comedy is rarely this good.
  14. It's guaranteed to be the biggest hit of the DC films released this year. The original was an international monster and I think it will be the same again here. Unsure about domestic though.
