  1. I mean, it's still gigantic numbers, but I think it's just because this feels like more of the same, so it's attracting the same audience from Ragnarok, but it's not really doing anything new/unique/different that will draw in new audiences. It looks like another middle chapter (not a finale) that will introduce The Mighty Thor, but that's it. To general audiences, Gorr is just another villain, just like Hela was in Ragnarok.
  2. They're marketing this really weirdly, I still have no idea what the story is but I feel like I've been told this is coming a lot. A lot of exposure yet very little substance, might be a mistake on WB Marketing team's part.
  3. Will be very interesting to follow to see whether this beats MoM or not. Hopeful that it will make more than Ragnarok, but can it truly outshone MoM when it seems like the hype is slightly less?
  4. Are we finally in the era where you can actually make good money with when a movie is good? We see it here, with EEAAO and some would argue NWH too.
  5. I don't see how anywhere in my post did I say you can't feel sorry for her and know what she did was wrong.
  6. You think when they took a break from filming that the entire post production crew also stopped working on the movie? lol
  7. The Hunger Games coming back to sit on its rightful throne. Panem's back, baby. 3B.
  8. Johnny Depp played the game well, and he has many, many supporters. He came out on top and the person he originally abused is going through it... again.
  9. And so far these movies disregard or repeat the same story beats from the show anyway - like WandaVision, and comments from the writers of Cap 4 have me worried they're doing the same with FATWS and Cap 4. Moon Knight is a limited series so seems like we're going to spend another story where he figures out he has a third personality.
  10. This movie's writing and story felt very early 2000s... so did the directing.... and when you think about how many projects Raimi has done in the past decade, it's kind of like "oh that makes sense".
  11. And for Marvel, basically even if you see a body, they're still not dead. Loki, Gamora, Vision, they all returned almost immediately a few projects later in the MCU and are still around. I guess you could argue that they're variants, but still..
  12. I don't really blame Raimi at all for Wanda's arc here. I agree, he was hired to add his flair to the movie (after a recurring few years of everyone complaining the MCU looks and feel the same) - the "Raimi" touch and this movie was marketed to hell by Disney and in featurettes as being very Sam Raimi - and he delivered on that. I personally don't like his style, but it is very much his here. He inherited a lot of the story when he was hired, including having Wanda has the female lead and the villain. He wasn't even made aware of WandaVision's existence until halfway through the writing process for the movie (that's what he said) - so I feel like if there are any issues people have with Wanda, that's on Waldron/the producers.
  13. Exactly. That's why I am hoping for a solo project, because she's being used in service of Doctor Strange's story to become this formidable foe for the story instead of being in service for her own character. Although plenty of stories with an ensemble can manage all the characters well, like Civil War, or the Avengers movie. And Strange barely even has much of an arc in this movie, so was it really worth it?
