And that's a great start for the Martian. Well ahead of gravity which opened to 3.6m 2 years ago on the same weekend. Can TM match gravity's legs as gravity crossed 21m. Interstellar mad it past 20m off a 4.6m OW (but it opened in early nov). A 6m ow with good wom should 20m from here. Any wom close to gravity like what I've heard so far and the question comes. Is 30m possible. For now projecting about 24m.

I would say all of qld for Sunday given we essentially had north (Cowboys) vs south (brisbane - yeah ignoring the Gold Coast in this ATM) And what a game it was too. North the winners for first time ever.

Pan OS Thread | 6.3m Weekend | 76m OS Total
JJ-8 replied to PierreHP's topic in International Box Office
Not a bad, not a great start in Australia. It made 2.2m in local currency (1.5m USD as noted) Given it's school holidays it has gone on till nearly 4m in local currently by Wednesday, so should manage 10m in AUD or around 7 to 8m USD depending on where the exchange rate is at by then. will be interesting how this performs worldwide.... i'm thinking it can get 100m+, possibly 150m OS -

2.9m AUD after 2 days in Australia. Easily #1. But it will be a strange weekend with both major football codes (AFL and rugby league) grand finals playing this weekend. But we also have a long weekend in much of the country to offset it. Either way at least 5m if not 6m+ AUD weekend happening down under. Ps. Converts to about 2m after 2 days and about 4m USD for the weekend. -
Will probably be offset today in Vic thanks the afl gf. And qld tomorrow. (Not so much nsw this year thanks to all qld final this year woot! Go the Broncos!)

Looks like pixels is a hit in AUS. Over 8m after the weekend. I'd say heading for at least 13m. Good chance at 15m (equiv of 150m stateside). Fantastic result. And maze runner is on its way past 10m. I'd say a total of at least 14m probably closer to 16m.

Another example is hotel Trans 2. We don't get it till 30th nov or something like that. And that's with not much animated competition for the sept hols.

Possible, but given historical evidence. No. The Lego movie waited to late March that year. Kfp3 is targeting the holidays. Move to the end of January and school is back in here around that time. I doubt it moves unless it's 1 week or so at most.

Just looking at release dates. What the fuck are these studios smoking. 24th March? 3rd week Warcraft 2nd week allegiant. Openers : BVS Beverly Hills cop 4 Kung fu panda 3 My big fat Greek wedding 2. Total madness. Not even sure any will move as the mostly target dif audiences. Well each has a partial overlap with each other. Though bhc won't meet that date. Still ugly even without that. Admit it is Easter but hmmm. (And civil war opens a week earlier to hit the Anzac Day weekend )

It's interesting that pixels has become the default kids film in Australia as the September holidays start. Not seeing a replacement in the hols either.

Creed highest grossing Rocky club (Yo Adrian, I just missed it)

I'm on the fence on this one. I want to be in, I really do but sadly I think no. Just under 100m seems right to me.
