I'm calling this, single biggest day of the year for British cinemas. I've seen gravity sell outs at cineworld Crawley, CF is doing gangbusters EVERYWHERE and Who is fucking crushing it!!!!
Hence why I saw it again last night. Been too spoiled by two imax trips in the past week though. It seemed so small and quiet, and I could barely see during the night scenes.
My local cineworld originally had one for tonight. It's disappeared on the site now, but so has the 9pm screening of The Family as well.... 4 screens of 6 at this Cineworld tonight, first film since Skyfall to manage such a feat!
Twilight tapped in to the teenage girl audience in a way rarely seen on that scale. I doubt it was anything to do with the books though. Half the people that were enamoured with it were probably illiterate or hate reading.
They love British born franchises above all others generally. That's why Harry Potter was massive, same with Lord of the Rings, but it's always good when we get a film exploding after the first film.
Both Thor movies are better than The Avengers. He's such a fucking dude! I don't usually drink but christ, a night on the town with the god of thunder would be freaking epic!
What about Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back? Kevin SmithJason MewesBen AffleckMatt DamonCarrie FisherMark HamilJason BiggsChris RockWill FerrelGeorge CarlinTracy MorganEliza Dushku
I envy you, I didn't start French until I was 11, and German until I was 12.
Here is the inauspicious outside of my local Cineworld
And here's a look at the current schedule for it:
