Portman is a horrible actress in general. Leon and Black Swan were big time flukes. Otherwise she's usually giving us some kind of unbearably cheesy melodrama.

The awesome portal fight with Malekith of course.

It has one of the best scenes in the entire MCU with that finale fight. That alone redeems it from being a total waste.

Or by that point Zack Snyder will have taken over Hollywood and you can realize how good you actually had it with those MCU films.

The circumstances couldn't possibly be that those one with bad holds just aren't as well liked? I mean I love several of the X-men movies, but I'll admit that they've always had a hard time getting good WOM from the GA. Even when they're great films, they seem to just attract their own fanbase and not many else. So yeah, you could probably say DOFP just had mediocre WOM among the casual GA. Fantastic WOM form the core fans, but that's different.

Audiences do want a good DCEU film. WW will be huge if it's finally the one to deliver that. Or it will be another SS.

Jim made it sound like he was actively working on these films as far back as 2011 though, which was a lie. If anything he was just in the very early brainstorming stage. It doesn't bother me that the release date keeps getting moved back, but I think people who are bothered have a valid reason to be. Cameron really needs to stop making it sound like he's actively working on something and expect it by x date for sure, when in reality he's just going to take his time and probably get around to it 3-5 years later than he says. So he should just be honest about that from here out.

I've yet to see a CBM drop 60%+ on second weekend that people argued had good WOM. Even IM2 and IM3 avoided the 60% drop and I highly doubt most people will argue those had great WOM.

Frank Ocean didn't tell us 4 years ago,"hey guys working on the new album, out by 2014 at the latest!" See the difference? You do in fact owe your fans when you make statements like that or don't make them.

So stop announcing them to the world decades out then. Any other director would get dragged through the mud for announcing they're working on big awaited films so far out from when they're actually finished. Cameron doesn't get a free pass. People can be annoyed about it if they want and have every right to be. I highly doubt Cameron was forced into telling the world when his next film would be coming.

I am glad you like them. I can't pretend I come close to understanding how if you're a DC fan, but more power to you I guess. Just know a vast majority of DC fans feel very robbed of any justice to the source with these films.

You know what's disrespectful to DCEU fans? WB treating it as their little cash cow and not giving one flying fuck about delivering quality or what the fans want. Assigning Zack "hey BRUH, look at my mad visual stylez!" Snyder to the throne of DCEU is disrespectful to DCEU fans. Any self-respecting DC fan deserves so much better.

At least it's not as bad as Godzilla was for me. Now that really was me having a meltdown after I saw that. I still don't know if I'll be able to admit to liking Rogue One if I actually like it because Edwards still makes me so angry. And if it sucks I'm refusing to acknowledge its existence as an SW movie.
