  1. Yes but to be fair Kal, you have like 15 years between JC efforts to perfect those predictions. Now if you can perfectly predict all the MCU releases, then I'll be really impressed.
  2. Suggestion: get plenty of rest and to avoid permanent damage stay OUT of the Dunkirk thread.
  3. Since we are almost in 2016, here are my new predictions: 1. Rogue One - $525m 2. Finding Dory - $460m 3. Suicide Squad - $425m 4. Batman vs Superman - $375m 5. Captain American: Civil War - $325m 6. The Secret Life of Pets - $320m 7. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - $290m 8. X-Men: Apocalypse - $285m 9. Moana - $275m 10. The Jungle Book - $250m P.S.: I just realized I'm predicting 6 and possibly 7 300m films this year, despite recently saying 2015 would probably hold the record for awhile.
  4. Wait a sec, 3D is supposed to be free isn't it? Damn, I knew I was getting ripped off al these years!
  5. Oh wow, never even heard about that. I guess ol' JC didn't figure out immortality after all.
  6. Battle Angel will only happen if Cameron has indeed cracked that code to immortality. Though knowing him, that could be a possibility...
  7. You know CAL, I have been meaning to donate to the forum anyways, so if you still want your over 22% drop and you win bet I'll take it for $10, loser donates to the forum. Take it or leave it. But don't take it if you don't want to donate if I win.
  8. For some reason in addition to not being able to edit, I'm unable to PM either anymore so will just have to say thanks here @Darth AndyLL for coming to my defense on the previous page. Shouldn't have been a thing at all, sorry @GiantCALBears if it bothered you so badly.
  9. We are being spoiled here. When the Avatar-esque holds inevitably stop likely starting next Monday, it is going to be a little hard to swallow at first.
  10. Yeah, it's too close to call without exact 3d/IMAX data for both of their entire runs. We just know Avatar and (soon) TFA are the only two definitively higher than TDK since then.
  11. Lord have mercy, forget it @GiantCALBears. You clearly aren't interested in discussing the only bet I did say I would consider making with you.
  12. What do you think it will drop tomorrow? Right now I am still thinking 20-25%.
  13. Why would I have convictions about something I'm no longer convinced is all that likely? That would just make me stubborn and foolish. The initial statement wasn't directed at anyone, you chose to take it as being directed as me proposing a bet to you. Believe me, I would have said that if that had been what I wanted. I already told you what terms I would be willing to consider a bet with you on, and I wont repeat them. Now unless you do want to discuss those terms, I won't be responding about this silliness any further.
  14. A bet that was NOT proposed to you in the first place I might add. And I hate to break it to you, but have to agree to a bet first in order to back out of it, of which I explicitly said I did not agree. So unless you live under a bridge and like to scare billy goats, I am not sure what the issue is here.
  15. I am no longer certain in a sub 20% hold, and you know the reasons why. I'm allowed to change my mind when a compelling argument comes up. I might be willing to do something where you say a range and then the buffer is in the middle of our ranges, but that's about it. I'm not making a bet the weather might ensure I lose.
  16. He also left out the part where @redfirebird2008 and some others made excellent points after that post I made about the weather possibly not letting up tomorrow yet or the roads at least still being really bad. If I had known/considered that first I wouldn't have said what I did in the first place. I'd be dumb to be 100% certain in such a low hold without 100% knowing for sure if the weather will still be bad tomorrow throughout the midwest.
  17. You are correct sir, since I sure as hell wouldn't have bet money with you. Or if I did it would be to donate to the forum like what B/Tele did. What would be the rules of our bet anyways @GiantCALBears? I'm not making a bet where it has to drop exactly between 18-20% or you win. That's way too easy for you. You need to come up with your own prediction range.
  18. Ooh, I hope you don't double dog dare me, then I'll really have to do it!
  19. Good point. May be more like the Tuesday-Wednesday holds that reap the rewards, or even next weekend if the roads stay frozen most of the week. For that reason, sorry @GiantCALBears but no dice on the bet. I don't control the weather and have no idea if it will be much better by tomorrow. It will make up this money at some point over the next week though, so when you see an insane hold you'll know why.
  20. More like @GiantCALBears just being a Giant Party Pooper. We must remember, this is a time of great turmoil for the non-SW fans out there. They are wrought with pain and anguish over why their favorite franchises couldn't even hold a candle to this run and need to vent.
  21. If it drops below 45m today, I'd be willing to bet a -18-20% hold is coming Monday.
  22. You wish. If the storms had an impact the weekday holds will be all the better for it. And even if 1.1b didn't happen, boo hoo only 1b+ for it. However will I survive this devastation?
  23. That is really impressive considering DH should have stole some of its audience.
