  1. My first theatrical R was Matrix Reloaded. First R I remember watching was Misery, which my older sister had me watch when I was like 6. It was not appreciated, lol.
  2. Not even the ending spectacle of AWE? Like this scene: Knightley's "FI-RAH!!", slow-mo, exploding staircases, flames, wooden shards of death all around, swelling score. Fucking epic.
  3. That DMC cliffhanger ending came off so desperate. Like Disney just screaming out of the screen "BUY YOUR TICKETS TO PIRATES 3 NOW, OUT IN A FEW MONTHS!!!!"
  4. In what world is Sith a worse film than TPM/AOTC? I mean opinions are fine, but wow really?
  5. The first two are relics of their time, much like B89 and the first Superman. They were good/groundbreaking at release, but the passing time has given them a rather archaic vibe.
  6. Spy will finish ahead of it, pushing it down to 8. Pixels, Minions, MI5, and Ant Man will def beat it. MMXXL, Terminator, and F4 are likely to beat it. That would already push it down to 16. Not considering if Trainwreck and/or Vacation beat it, which is possible too.
  7. I will say that at least I remember most of MoS. Can't say that for any of the other Superman films I've seen. I may as well have never seen Returns. I remember nothing at this point.
  8. Da fuq did Spidey get in a Terminator/Aliens discussion?
  9. Yet ironically I still find the first Terminator boring, even though I know T1/T2 are pretty much a direct parallel to Alien/Aliens.
  10. Alien is definitely better than Aliens. As fun as the latter is, you can't beat the nuanced genre perfection of the first. That movie engulfs me in its atmospheric ambiance every time.
  11. Don't forget about Channing Tatum's genitals. Maybe we shouldn't underestimate those.
  12. I still think Terminator 1 is boring as a whole. Love T2 though.
  13. Rate the other 500m grossers on a scale of JW to Fury Road.
  14. I'm shocked they were both decent in AoU after the actor tofu they served in that movie. That movie really was just bad all around.
  15. The re-release of JP a few years ago was glorious. One of the best theater going experiences I had that year. Definitely says something that a 20 year old blockbuster easily topped most of the current ones I saw that year.
  16. Jurassic Park: Days of Future Past. Both a sequel/prequel where they time travel between the present and the actual Jurassic era. Plot twist: InGen are the ones who created dinos all along. They only got to the Jurassic era through our time travel meddling.
  17. Maybe Cameron can absorb the franchise into the Avatar sequels. Jurassic Pandora. $1 trillion WW.
  18. The EE of Amadeus is tragic. That 20 minutes of bloat somehow takes the movie from A to like B-.
  19. Lol, that's the biggest fanboy rumor that's been put out there yet. No way it's happening.
  20. It fundamentally alters the character, and moreover...oh wait I don't give a fuck either. Nvm.
  21. Not entirely true. While that is at least the media "ideal", plenty of people have their own taste as to what they're attracted to. Eye of the beholder.
