Not to mention the legions of fans who would feel like he abandon them and turned his back on them if he just suddenly quit the project. Obviously a lot of those said fans felt really disappointed anyways when they saw the movie, but the whole thing was just a lose lose situation there. There wasn't gonna be a good outcome.

Well if it makes you feel any better it's for that exact reason why he did quit SM4. Sony was pulling the same crap on him and he wasn't about to go through that again.

Irregardless of whether or not you'd say it the fact is it is correct to say the 1900's in reference to the whole 20th century. Or it can just mean the decade 1900-1909 as well. Depends on the context you're using it.

No he could not have made it work because it did not fit with the vision he had for the film. It screwed everything up and as such the whole film got screwed up. Any director would have had the same results, and they do have the same results when similar studio shenanigans happen.

Oh sure. Let's throw a great big monkey wrench into what you're working on and see how well you do. It's not that easy when the studio is messing with you. Do you think Nolan could make TDK under that kind of studio strongarming crap? In case you're wondering the answer is NO.

If Sony wouldn't have strong armed Venom into that third act a huge part of the problem with SM3 could have been solved right there. The whole main villian focus of the movie being on Sandman could have made that movie so much better.

Yeah I don't like any of em really. Won't start sounding good again till we're in the twenties. Anyways, guess I should have said 21st century to be clearer since you're right as well that 2000's can also just refer to the 2000-2009 decade. But it can refer to the whole century as well like when you say the 1900's in reference to the entire 20th century.

21st century or 2000's is correct. The 2000-2009 decade is called the "aughts" (yeah I know awful name, but that's what it's called).

An Education - C-A Serious Man - N/A*Note that although I technically rate Up as a better film than Avatar, I think Avatar should have won BP because of the way it broke new ground in cinema and completely immersed you in a whole world unlike any movie before.

No way it hits 260m now. Even if it has a really good weekend it's heading to 135m 6 day tops, but it still won't have a 2x multi. Again, what part of DIRECT competition with TDKR do some of you guys not get? TF1 didn't have anything of the sort and it only hit a 2x 6 day multi.

It won't have a 2x 6 day multi. TF1 could barely manage it on some of the best WOM of any movie that year, and not direct competition from one of the biggest juggernauts of all time. 1.8 multi, 1.9x multi at absolute best. So the range off that 6 day should be about 235-255m.
