  1. Wow, that's fantastic for Django. Would mean around 63m for the 5 day, and I definitely wouldn't put 150m out of reach.
  2. Incredible. Can't believe this has actually hit one hundred million pounds. THE FUCK!?
  3. I'm not sure but Rth said it was at £99.86m yesterday.£300k is massive though!
  4. I refuse to believe Skyfall didn't hit £100m today. It only needed £140k.
  5. That comment isn't worthy of this thread. Please leave.
  6. Skyfall's still selling out to this day at my cinema. It's really been an extraordinary run.
  7. I other news on Skyfall, it's hitting £100m in the UK today. First ever movie to do so!
  8. Fantastic increases! The Hobbit could do £7.5-8m ($11.3-13m) this weekend for somewhere between $57-60m. I definitely see it hitting £50m now. Even TDKR is still a possibility, but that depends on post-holiday legs. I don't know what kind of increases there are on the weekend before New year, but I imagine every day should be at least flat. That's excellent for Pi! Should already be over £11m ($17.8m) after Sunday. £15m is locked, £20m ($32m) is the target now. Another breakout. And great for JR too. 5 day opening will probably be around £3.5-4m ($5.7-6.5m).Skyfall keeps going! Seeing it hit £100m tops off a great year for the UK.
  9. Prices seem to keep rising every few months at Odeon instead of every year now. The food is even worse. Who in their right mind would buy water for £2.50? It's a robbery!
  10. Oh god yeah, I can never find a 99 for less than £2 now. It's quite sad really.
  11. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see The Hobbit hit £2m today. It's been absolutely packed all day. That would mean a likely £6-7m 3rd weekend, up from last weekend.
  12. I once stupidly bought an Ice cream for £3.50 on Westminster bridge.
  13. You really do hate Hastings don't you?In central London though, it's extremely difficult to find a ticket for less than £10.
  14. Indeed. And £7.40 at my local ODEON is teen price. Adult price is over £9, and that's just for 2D. If you go for 3D, for an adult it's £12!!! Fuck off, who's gonna pay that much?
  15. I guess factoring in things like orange Wednesday and discounted weekday prices makes it more difficult to estimate ticket sales.
  16. To be fair, I don't know ANYWHERE where the price of a regular ticket is less than £7.30.
  17. Life of Pi is absolutely killing it around my area today.
  18. Interesting. I never knew Star Wars was so big back in the day.Going by that list, Skyfall is probably somewhere between number 10 and 12.
  19. I'm not sure of all time because I think films like Gone With The Wind had 35m admissions or something like that. But certainly the most in modern cinema.
  20. I don't know about a number for 2012, maybe rth does, but the cinema exhibitors website says for 2011, it was £6.06.
