    Everyone in my showing started talking when Les Mis advert came on.... This could be pretty huge.

    Christmas is gone so it'll likely start dropping hard. Around £11m.

    The Hobbit probably between £52-54m and Life of Pi £21-23m.

    Today's gonna be a HUGE day for cinemas I think. Orange Wednesday, and The Hobbit, Life of Pi, and The Impossible are selling out. So happy for the latter. It's also been trending on twitter today, so interest is obviously VERY high,

    Les Mis will hit £40m?Not sure about that.

    Les Mis could be massive. No Mamma Mia ofcourse, but the musical is hugely popular. Maybe £25-30m.

    The Hobbit 2 very likely, Monsters University perhaps, although that'll be difficult...Next year will have a lot of big hits like Iron Man 3, Star Trek 2 etc, but nothing monstrous like this year it seems. Catching Fire could become like Twilight, or it could explode. We'll see.

    £22m would be over $35m. Probably one of 2012's biggest breakouts.

    I don't think we'll see another year with 4 $80m+ films, one of them over $160m, for quite a while. What a brilliant year for the UK.

    I guess. I'd be happy with anything over £50m, and I can't see it missing that mark now.

    That would be great. 3rd of year. I wonder if it'd have enough steam to topple TDKR.... have to wait and see.

    The Hobbit:UK (3rd): £6.7m ($10.9m) / +12% / £35.8m ($57.7m). Excellent. Should hit $70m by next Sunday and will probably end somewhere between $80-90m. Another massive success.Life of Pi had a nice increase too with $6.6m for $17m. I see it hitting $30m now.

    £3.4m ($5.5m) opening for Jack Reacher. Pretty good start.

    Really? I don't think it'll open big at all, but it could be one of those films that spreads over time with good WOM.

    I have a feeling The Impossible could become a mini-breakout. It opens on New Years day, and I've actually heard quite a lot of people talk about it. I'll probably see it on Orange Wednesday.
