  1. I’ve barely kept up with Marvel over the last few years and frankly lost quite a lot of interest, but my god, Guardians 3 was INCREDIBLE. Not ashamed to say I cried like 5 times. People I went with absolutely loved it too, all think it is top 3 marvel. Really hope it can have a long run as it deserves it.
  2. That is fantastic for Guardians. Think today can be higher. Looking like over £12m 5 day, around £15m with bank hol Monday.
  3. Thought it would, coronation was a morning/early afternoon affair, and the weather is perfect for cinemas. Also, the “concert” will have little if any impact.
  4. Endgame OD is just absolutely nuts
  5. Don’t think the coronation will have a big impact, plus it’s meant to be raining (lol), which will help cinemas. OD seems decent considering it’s a normal working/school day, it’ll pick up over the weekend and there is another bank holiday, so I imagine over £10m for the 5 day, low teens including bank holiday Monday.
  6. Wow turned out to be another great weekend for Mario, and another bank holiday coming up this week. Will ease past £50m and has a chance at £60m, which would be 3rd biggest animated film ever behind Toy Story 3 and 4. Incredibles 2 currently in 3rd place with £56.2m.
  7. Not down here, absolutely glorious, sunny and warm, first 20 degree day of the year, definitely wouldn’t be in the cinema. Looks packed everywhere outside
  8. Amazing hold for Mario, £50m is locked, wonder how high it can go. Also, D&D is actually having a pretty nice run here compared to the US. Good to see.
  9. Still looking good for a £7m+ weekend, which is sub 20%
  10. Mario continues its incredible run. Looks like it’s going to have a very small drop from last Fri-Sun. Maybe 10-15% from the £8.7m 3 day. Saturday increase I assume will be more muted as kids have already been off this week, but if it does manage to increase by more that expected, then the weekend could stay flat.
  11. Should be near the £35m mark already by Sunday. The only real competition coming up is Guardian’s 3, and then The Little Mermaid at the end of May for direct family competition, so I imagine it’ll have a pretty long run until then.
  12. That is huuuuge! So that’s just under £20m including Monday, around £19.8m? The rest of this week and weekend should be big as school holidays continue until next week. I expect it’ll stay above £2m dailies until maybe Sunday. Hopefully can break the £50m mark.
  13. Big drop on Sunday, but makes sense as Easter Sunday is not a cinema going day. Today looks packed for Mario, probably as the weather has now turned to shit after the glorious sun over the long weekend, which probably also kept some people away from cinemas to take advantage. Expecting £3m+ Monday.
  14. So about £13.8m so far? Look like around £16m 5 day ($20m), potentially £19m with the bank holiday Monday.
  15. So this is on track for one of, if not the biggest opening ever for an animated film. Insane. Thought it’d be big but not this big
  16. This will be less frontloaded than FB3 though, so probably not the best indicator
  17. Damn that is huge!! Maybe near £15m 5 day? With the bank holiday Monday included this is looking at an absolutely enormous opening.
  18. Mario should have a big opening. Pre sales look strong, plus it’s got school holidays as well as the long 4 day Easter weekend. Wouldn’t surprise me to see £10m+ 5 day
  19. Actually pretty good for D&D. Looking like £3.5m opening possible, and there are 2 weeks of school holidays now. JW4 should have a decent 2nd weekend too, maybe £3m.
  20. Huge! Today should be at least £2m then surely. Looks like over £5m 4 day will happen
  21. John Wick looks packed, definitely think it’ll have a sizeable jump tonight and a very strong Saturday.
  22. It is pretty terrible, but compared to other countries it’s not as bad.
