Going to see FB in a couple of hours. Not super pumped or anything. I enjoyed the HP movies for the most part and it looks solid so we'll see.

If it hits 75m OW I can see it doing 190-200m DOM

If this is a multi film franchise, that's a weak domestic opening for a first film. Really no other way to spin it. Or your argument could be the USA continues to be less important for certain properties that have gone global.

450 million about. Wouldn't be surprised  it's lower or higher but the trailer are great, the buzz is good, and even though it's a spinoff it has familiar Star Wars characters and objects. I think it has a story audiences will care about.

    In Disney I trust.

Is the implication there that FB doesn't really have a story the GA would care about?

This is not a Harry Potter film. This is a Fantastic Beasts film. We don't know how stable this series is yet but frankly the reception to this event among the hardcore hasn't been what it needed to be for me to be confident about stability.

People seem to think that just because it's set in the same universe, it'll follow the same rules as the main series. Nope. Same universe, different franchises.

WB I like your opinions, whats your current feeling on RO? Curious...

If R1 disappoints its core audience the same way this did (and, for that matter, THE HOBBIT did), then yes, of course Baumer's club becomes a likely success. But one new would-be franchise failing to meet expectations doesn't automatically translate to the same thing happening with another.

It doesn't automatically translate but to say it's a good or OK indicator is not looking at the facts and again this is a domestic discussion since we all know internationally they both were always going to do well.

Lol.  He called me out specifically in a post.  I hadn't mentioned or said anything to him.  He also called me out for no reason and is gloating like a fucking child over who knows what because he won't explain it.

You want to tell someone to settle down, then you are talking to the wrong person.  Get it right next time or send me a PM if you want to discuss it further, but don't call me out publicly if you can't even get it right.

You've been basically trolling Baumer, myself and others in the RO under 450m, I'm not the only one to get annoyed by it.

And I answered your question, and looks like I am absolutely correct in what I told you, yet for whatever reason you called me out as if I was wrong about something.

Now of course you don't want to address it or talk about it.  Huh.... wonder why that is?  What was I wrong about in my response to you?

Address what? I don't even know what you are talking about. If you were pessimistic on here on FB you will be closer than those (like you) who were optimistic. End of discussion.
  7. Could be. Personally, I've always said Baumer's club was possible. Guess what I'm saying is that you could read this as a tea leaf in whatever direction you think fits your preferred narrative.

You can do that with almost anything in life Jay. If you honestly think this number means NOTHING in forecasting RO, then I can't help you.
