Wont it drop by about 20% on Sunday? Wouldn't that put it closer to about 135 million instead of 1:40?
If thats true my OW prediction of $135m will look ok .

Finding Dory is totes better
Im talking BO man, going to be very difficult to top that for me personally.

FD or TS3 should be a great comparison in a few areas, right or wrong?

I don't know, Dory got a lot of millennial hype, and IO went up from mid 20s to 34m last year. Then again, a lot of adult films went down at night too.
There is a decent amount of adult interest for a film in this category but I would still keep expectations in check (already considering DHD first number is wildly inconsistent).

Father's Day results in much softer drops (JW had just under a 2% Sat-Sun drop), especially for movies that Dads in particular like. Doesn't affect Pixar movies as much though.
Wouldn't have guessed that now that we are in he heart of summer but probably should have known. Is it the same in general for Mother's Day?

So will NBA finals affect how high Finding Dory/Central Intelligence goes?
Absolutely, I imagine it will have more of a negative effect on CI but both Father's Day & game 7 should depress Sunday across the board.

Given the modest gross, a bit stunned how popular 10CL has ended up being... Anyone else agree?

I give Interstellar a slight edge
#HailNolan
Its by far the worst of those 3 IMO haha, love Nolan but as I've said repeatedly it was a major fail for me personally.

Just watch The Martian. It was the best movie I've seen in theaters last year. Damon is just insane.
Just saw it again for the first time since theaters, it's miles better than Gravity & Interstellar IMO. Different kind of movie but still I enjoyed the most of the 3.

Tomorrowland wasn't that bad, it had a few good moments and I liked Clooney in it!
I wonder if Disney execs thought that write down "wasn't that bad." Haha

A.K.A. "The Brad Bird Redemption"
If there isn't redemption & Incredibles 2 is anything less than great the Internet may blow up... Serious pressure there.

Which is all good. Dory is like a mile better than Civil War
Apples to oranges dude in fairness.

I can understand TS4: TS3 is a massive hit. As long as Tom Hanks is still working, they will be making Toy Story movies until some Pixar execs says "Stop."
But Cars 2 was rather disappointing and not as well received by Pixar die hards as the others.
Cars is a multi billion $ merchandising franchise, MONEY.

12.2 for Deadpool I think and 1.7M for Zootopia
Dory doing $3m less than Deadpool means $150m OW is in play but I still lean closer to $135m ish.

What were Deadpool & Zootopia's previews guys?

There's not a single upcoming Pixar movie that I'm excited about.
Sequelitis huh Tele? Don't blame you although Incredibles 2 SHOULD be decent.

Solid # but I think some are going a little crazy on the upside, it was always going to be big given the anticipation for Dory. Shrek 3 OW looks like it's going down but Shrek 2 unadjusted is probably safe in total.

Not a bad episode but cutting away the Blackfish fight, Arya offing the little bastard and the Siege of Mereen was fucking annoying.
I seriously hope episode 9 makes it up big time.
Agree completely, wtf was that about? Cutting important scenes because they are difficult? Tsk tsk. This season is shaping up to be one of the worst in the series.

Congrats @arpiaaaa! Final number is $936,662,225 domestic.

Angry Birds did alright after all, not the total flop I thought it could be. Getting double+ the budget/ads is respectable.
-
Alice with the 71.2% share OS, salvaging a nightmare write down for Disney.

Xmen is very fortunate they have the international markets, that's not even close to a bomb with $400m+ WW in 10 days.
