Well, I rarely watch spoilers and am very choosy about which films to watch, so I can't remember the last time I was deceived.
The closest incident to "being deceived" that I remember is when after class, a lot of us suddenly made the decision to watch The Wolverine. A few friends went first in order to buy the tickets and we followed a few minutes later, arriving just in time for the start of the movie. And when it started, I realized it's Despicable Me 2, a movie I'd already seen and hated.
What actually happened was that The Wolverine didn't have enough seats for all of us, and those buying the tickets assumed that none of us had seen DM2. They were almost right, I was the only one who'd seen it already. Me along with another of my friends who didn't like animated movies were the only ones complaining about not being told beforehand though.
