  1. i think if the union could get revenue share for principal cast , then the union takes a percentage of that and spreads it out to lesser cast, no way is every actor on a episode getting this deal
  2. SAG is out of their mind asking for streaming revenue, i think the actors that deserve it are top tier actors, but they already make too much money
  3. Thursday previews are disaster , should have been treated as limited early access screenings , of course it doesn't matter in the end
  4. Mean Girls reunion! Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert appear to capitalize on iconic movie by filming an ad in LA - after talks stalled about cast returning for musical adaptation over money https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12603831/Mean-Girls-reunion-Lindsay-Lohan-Amanda-Seyfried-Lacey-Chabert-appear-capitalize-iconic-movie-filming-ad.html
  5. new sci-fi is tough , Oblivion opened to 37m with Cruise, reception was meh , it hurt Edge of Tomorrow the following year with it being vastly superior
  6. Dumb Money is not a bad movie, but should have been a streaming movie
  7. UPDATED: The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers sent the Writers Guild of America its best and final offer on Saturday afternoon after four days of intense negotiations to secure a new three-year contract and bring the nearly five-month writers strike to an end. Industry sources report that a last, best and final offer was sent to WGA negotiators around 5 p.m. PT. Legal representatives for labor and management huddled Saturday in person at AMPTP headquarters in Sherman Oaks. Other key players on both sides monitored events closely but from afar. https://variety.com/2023/biz/news/writers-strike-wga-amptp-contract-talks-2-1235733340/
  8. i'm expecting a deal by midweek, neither side seems to want to leave negotiations
  9. 2nd UPDATE 8:55 PM: The writers strike is not over yet Despite putting in a very long second day of direct talks, top CEOs, the AMPTP and the WGA did not close a deal tonight. While sources say both sides are open and willing to gather round the bargaining table, no further talks are officially scheduled.
  10. Disney should say its a prequel to Alita so Cameron fans show up , movie needs a lot of buzz to do great
  11. I'm taking about the top 1% writers/producers with power and money, they are losing money now so they want unions to end strike
  12. now that the overpaid writers are getting deals suspended , its time to force the wga to reach deal
  13. Hollywood destroying itself , there will be a lot less work when this is over, everybody will lose besides maybe Netflix
  14. WGA is losing this fight, i suspect the negotiating committee will be dropping some demands to get the studios back to the table. Its not the studios fault that writers are broke cause they only work 10 weeks out of the year.
  15. by end of September , i'm surprised there hasn't been more delays, once it goes into October, they basically given up the rest of the year
