  1. It was okay. I don't have any strong feelings in either direction. I like Chris Pine and Sir Ken in it, the rest I can do without. Kinda standard action movie without much substantial aspects that could make it stand out.C+/B-
  2. Oh wow, this is the first time I heard of this. Totally completely disgusting. The hate for Sean Penn is deserved then. What a terrible and abusive douche!Ugh, that's fucking despicable. Poor Madonna
  3. Jake said it perfectly, so I have nothing more to add.One of the more understated and underrated Tarantino films. Immensely enjoyable, and despite the abundance of Tarantino signature styles, Jackie Brown still feel very fresh and different amid his filmography in a way. A
  4. Rewatching Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown last night really pumped me up for this. I hope it'll come out soon. Hopefully in 2015.
  5. Yeah, gotcha. And agree. I'll be watching the movie shortly myself. Looks hilarious, so I'm anticipating a fun time at theater.
  6. I didn't know that we have to be black to find it hilarious
  7. Sounds like the kind of movie that will have some people waxing poetic about later on.
  8. Thanks Shawn. Hmm, I hope they'll do an expansion down the line.
  9. How many theaters did Wolf lose this week? I want to rewatch it and have to drive like 20miles away to find a theater that it's still playing at.
  10. Tarantino is like the Master of writing/directing totally random conversations that just make so much sense. And he always bring out the best of acting from his actors/actresses. Smart, wickedly funny, engaging, expertly paced, well-directed and incredibly well-acted. I could go on but that doesn't seem necessary.A+Hmm, actually didn't know that there are some who don't like Bruce Willis in this. I though he was great.
  11. The Attorney is so close to 10M now. Wonder if it has the juice to go the extra mile and reach 11M.Great jump for Frozen. Considering how so-so most animations did in 2013, that's even more impressive. I could see Disney trying those release dates for their future releases.
  12. I was a bit depressed after watching it. It was so sad, and remind me of the time when I was a sophomore/junior in college. The time when I just suddenly lost direction and constantly question my abilities and my future prospects. The movie is raw, powerful and relatable to me in that way. So I love it. Would be hard to watch it again though.
  13. That's the first time I heard those stories of Bale and Reeves. When did Bale do that? I do notice that the guy comes off not entirely friendly in interview and such, but that sounds like a douche-ish thing to do. I like Keanu Reeves. He's not the best of actors. Okay, terrible is more like it. But he always seems to be really down to earth. And he has that sincerity and likability when you look at him. Wow, giving away his money to the BTS people? That's crazy.
  14. Hmm, I don't hate any actors/actresses. But I do either dislike their acting styles or just not enjoying their performances most of the time. I'm pretty lukewarm towards Ed Norton, Christian Bale, Sean Penn and a few more in that regards. As for their personal lives and normal Hollywwod gossips, I don't really delve into those of people I don't care much for in the first place, so hardly any feelings either way. Heard about the Mark Wahlberg case recently, and that made me lose my respect for the guy. But nothing more serious than that.
  15. Heard a lot about it so I will. It's on my Netflix DVD queue since they don't have it on streaming.
  16. Agree with everything. You better vote for Phoenix in our BOF Awards, Jack. Oscar BA nominees this year, no Hanks, Redford, and Phoenix made me sad But I'm happy about Leo, MacCoughnaghey, and Ejiofor though. So conflicted, lol.
  17. But Hill is not the only one taking Bruhl's spot. There's Leto, Fassbender, Abdi, and Cooper. He was great in WOWS. Totally deserve it IMO. But yeah, shame about Bruhl, and the fact that he's considered as Supporting is just bullshit. Though if he has campaigned for Lead, wouldn't get in either with that strong field. So moot point really.Agree about Cucumber, lol.
  18. Thank God for that. I'm never been happier that I'm not a manly man or whatever at the moment
  19. Glad to hear that Jack. And how amazing was Phoenix and ScarJo? Pretty damn awesome, right?
  20. The BOF Awards voting is closing in, and I noticed that Tele has been trying hard these past couple of days. At least give him points for effort. I know I will.
  21. Don't ever do that again. My finger got tired having to scroll past the post.
  22. Truly a classic. All those iconic scenes and memorable quotes. Great music, direction, acting performances. Part II is a better film overall, but The Godfather has the charm and the specialness to it that makes me love the orginal more. All the A+
  23. Totally completely agree. Marlon Brando and Robert DeNiro both were amazing, but Al Pacino should have gotten one win at least.
