But isn't Christie a no-name actress though? She's only known in Game of Thrones and even so barely compared to the other actors with more meaningful roles in that.

Yea but they kinda left it open ended by having him fall into the pit, we aren't sure he's dead after that fall or the explosion that destroyed the star killer.

The entire plot of the movie was finding Luke for both the evil and good sides. When they finally found him at the very end of the movie, he had no lines and only had 10 seconds shot of his face and cue to credits. That was a big FU to the GA following this movie and the audience was pretty verbal about that ending as I heard negative mumblings about that ending.

I just think there's alot of new material here to make an amazing spoof movie though.

Anyone else besides me thought of the spin-off movies when that little old female alien gave Solo the lightsaber and she told him that it would be a story for another time how she acquired it,.

Given the low budget, this looks like it might be more of a character driven / story driven movie with little action / VFX sprinkled on it. I think this might be the best way to go though as they need to re-invigorate the brand for both old fans and new ones as well which should be done by making a good movie not by making a visual and action effects feast. -

That dude who played Kylo Ren was not menacing at all though. The actor was average at best and when he first pulled off that helmet in front of Rey, people in the audience laughed at the long haired pretty boy behind the voice lol.

The SW universe is already small when Luke is Vader's son and Luke and Leia are both siblings.

I felt the same way about Solo's death in this, people were saying how much they teared up online but when I actually saw the scene I was like "This is what people were soo emotional about?". You expected him to die given the situation and build-up before and after he confronted his son.

Can't believe how incredibly mediocre this movie was, given all the hype and reviews I was expecting this to be something different.

Just came back from seeing this, it was a good movie nothing special at all as the hype and reviews suggests that it is. There were some pretty average acting from the new actors, pacing issues half way through the movie and some generic character scenes. I give it a 7/10.
