Having Bale reprise his role as Batman would make this movie HUGE to maintain the continuity of the Nolan bat franchise and its success. However if they did that they'd be limiting themselves to the things that have been established in that Nolan universe such as the no super-powered villains, muted gadgets, lack of fighting skill Batman etc... That being said with Snyder's Batman you can expect a more comic booky Batman and different aethetic which doesn't mean the movie would be good though as we all know Snyder's reputation as a director.

I think this place is like the Arkham Asylum of online box office forums.

Just came back from seeing this movie. Gotta say it was a powerful movie, from the acting to the tension of survival in the wilderness. My only gripe was that it felt too long which was a result of the story not moving forward soon enough IMO. I also thought that Hardy was given more to do in this movie from an acting standpoint than Leo and if anyone deserves to be nominated for an Oscar it's him. I just got the feeling that Leo got nominated so the Academy can finally give him his oscar after all these years of being snubbed.

These types of movies thrive on mystique and hiding alot of stuff about the story as clearly evidenced by that trailer. I won't be surprised if they keep this up in the remaining marketing material for this leading up to the movie's release but I must admit I was expecting a little bit more.

Now that you mention it, it does feel like a parody movie something along the lines of Scary Movie or Epic Movie.

The question remains how will Cameron be able to maintain the novelty which the last one accomplished due to the fact of improved 3D technology. I think they'll need to create special theatres where they retrofit it with mechanical seats that move according to the action that takes place on the screen as well as probably atmospheric features such as cold, hot and windy environments to further make use of what's going on in the movie.

How far will this franchise go? Will they eventually pull a Jason X and have the gang in outer space performing car stunts inside spaceships?

SO if every Avatar is going to introduce a new technology to create a greater and unique movie going experience for the audience, which Avatar would I have to wait for to get virtual reality?
