Fullbuster
2014 lacks 300~600m movies. TF4 will decrease in Europe: reboot + bad sequel effect + weak exchange rates; small increase in Asia and LA overally. And cant underestimate final effect for TH3. Small increase in Asia and Latin America? Unlikely...
Tower
2014 lacks 300~600m movies. That's because some of the films that would gross these amounts you wouldn't think of yet, the way no one thought Ted would make more than 300M OS before it opened. In addition to the films you listed we might also have The Good Dinasour (likely), NFS, CA2, Night At The Museum 3, Noah, Godzilla, etc.

And cant underestimate final effect for TH3.You're underestimating the Asian potential. TF4 could make 600-800M just in Asia. It can easily make 400M+ in Latin America and Europe...... TF4 has a great shot at becoming the 3rd film ever to reach 1B OS.

That should be interesting.

zackzack
HOBBIT2 features a dragon. In less than 6 months, GA would experience Giant Lizard rampaging the cities in GODZILLA, a safe Giant Lizard in GOOD DINO, and a Cool Flying Lizard in DRAGON2. That's 4 Giant Lizards movies in about 6 months. No fatigue?

Don't worry, TF4 won't reach at leat 1B WW. This is extreme overestimation!

lab276
Unfortunately, I can't see anything other than TF4 winning the WW battle next year. I feel like the OS box office may be a bit of a wasteland next year.
Dilusha Bandara
Many people had thought TF3 couldn't pass 1B WW. Nope, TF franchise was only getting bigger and bigger, everyone thought it would be really easy for TF3 to reach 1B WW.

This isn't true, and doesn't really make much sense, if Transformers was growing until TF3 then it is more growing now.
peludo
Nope, TF franchise was only getting bigger and bigger, everyone thought it would be really easy for TF3 to reach 1B WW. It was bigger and bigger in expanding markets, but not everywhere. China increased 110 million from TF2, Taiwan (30), South Korea (26), Russia (27), Mexico (12), Brazil (13). And then Japan, with 32 million increase. These markets cume 250 million increase. Adding 250 to 434 of TF2 you already have 684. The other 87 million until 771 were grossed with the other lower expanding markets (Asia and South America) and a extremely shy increase in Europe and Australia (3D factor).

All those markets increased largely due to 3D price too. TF4 wont increase that much, if it is going to increase at all.
