So FF is the biggest franchise in India now, maybe not in lifetime but absolutely in terms of Initial.

Mission Impossible is par Furious films. In fact Fallout had much better opening occupancies.

The last two Fast and Furious films had holiday release, so don't let that cloud your judgement as well.

As if there aren't 3 FF movies already lined up for release.

Rest 3 are on spot but Dr Strange lol

just wait and watch and see Doctor Strange explode in 2021. He is Tony of this phase. Its getting the regular April last week spot, given the Endgame boost to MCU Captain Marvel inflation adjusted numbers will take it to ₹150cr. Thor, if has Hemsworth in solid role, will be shooting for ₹150-200cr.

Spin Off

Doesn't really matter to Indian perspective. It was sold as FF film and it did so. In fact, the trailer had better response than FF films.

And it's not like franchise has some fanbase for characters/story, just the genre/brand driving the film.

FWIW, I won't be surprised with F9 below H&S.

Also, H&S had just good opening. Nothing of anything big.
