a2k
well well... frozen below 2000... still nice that it ties Avatar for how long it stayed above that mark Yeah. Considering it's loosing 10% of theaters, it could have a 20% fall to 5m. I would have said 25% considering it was a 4-day weekend but it's weekdays have been just too strong. I would have said 25% considering it was a 4-day weekend but it's weekdays have been just too strong. I'm expected 5-15% drops over the next two weeks since there's zero competition for Frozen's market - it had a 23% drop against LEGO Movie so obviously losing some theaters won't hurt it too much
Incarnadine
That Vampire Academy screen loss is huge, though completely expected. I think -80% was expected. -10% for Frozen is excellent. I think it will be past 390 when the Academy Awards are handed out, hopefully it will see a nice little bump from that and cruise past 400 and then leg it out another 2+ months to wherever it finally ends up.
MovieMan89
LEGO now with a 22% lead over where it was last week. The only thing that will stop that movie from 300 now is horrible late legs due to an overcrowded market. It will have so much by the time Peabody hits though it probably won't matter. I'm thinking Ice Age 1 could end up a fair comparison point once everything normalizes with the daily comparisons pretty soon. mahnamahna
Hmm... the leggiest I see LEGO Movie going: 2/21-2/23: $41.5 million ($193 million) 2/28-3/2: $30 million ($231 million) 3/7-3/9: $14 million ($249 million) 3/14-3/16: $10.5 million ($265 million) 3/21-3/23: $7 million ($280 million) 3/28-3/30: $5.5 million ($291 million) 4/4-4/6: $4 million ($299 million) 4/11-4/13: $1.5 million ($302 million) 4/18-4/20: $1 million ($303 million) Add in dollar theaters and you get $310-315 million at maximum... I think $290-295 million is most likely due to the kid competition over the next month.

MovieGuyKyle17
Looking at movie showings for this week and even with only 2 early afternoon showings this past week, the Nut Job will be getting another week of shows.
