The untitled new project by the team behind the highest grossing movie ever Sole a Catinelle is postponed to 1/1/2016. I hope this can convince Disney to release Star Wars 7 in the same week of the rest of the world instead of mid january, given that this date was chosen to avoid competition between the two movies.

FF7 2,2M€ on Sunday, for a weekend total of € 7.586.760 and 1.040.086 ADM. This is similar to the 7,33M€ of FF6 in its first week but FF7 today, holiday monday and one of the biggest day of the year for the boxoffice, can easily increase the gap.

In the Disney side Into the Wood get a poor 871K€ while Cinderella passes Maleficent in admissions (2,23M) and today will pass it also in euros.

FF7 1,595M€ on Monday (holiday). Total € 9.238.689 (1.262.555 admissions).

Cinderella is over Maleficent also in Euro (€ 14.171.217 - 2.268.691 adm), could pass 15M. This is a very good achievement for Cindy: Mal was the bigger movie of 2014, had 3D and a star like Jolie acting (even if Cindy has Frozen Fever boost).

FF7 840K euro on Tuesday, passes 10M. Could reach 20M? In a comparison with another big frontrunner like Fifty Shades, it seems FF7 is doing a bit worse (FS was at 10,8M on tuesday without monday holiday), so 18M should be the final. However FF7 has a kind of audience that could give a lot of repeated views and, so, longer legs.

How you can see in the previous post about admissions, Marvel the Avengers isn't the strongest superhero brand here, and superhero movies in general aren't so strong (except maybe for first Spiderman trilogy). However the popularity of some characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in growth, mainly thanks to the performance of the actors (Downey/Iron Man, Hiddleston/Loki), and also the TV Serie "Agent of Shield" is well reiceved. Other, the new movie had an italian location.
