filmlover
I'm confused. Why is that funny? Because it's been a while since I've seen a movie skew that young.

filmlover
What about most animated films? Those draw families, so the parent/child ratio isn't too far apart. Ouija basically played only to young people, only $5M worth of people over 25 saw it this weekend.
baumer
Because it's been a while since I've seen a movie skew that young. It would be pretty much in the same realm as another PD original horror film, the Unborn: Creeping in as the first horror movie in over two months, The Unborn emerged with $19.8 million on approximately 2,500 screens at 2,357 sites. Attendance was a vast improvement over last winter's horror offerings,One Missed Call and The Eye. Distributor Universal Pictures' research showed that 55 percent of the audience was female and 75 percent was under 25 years old. Universal also found that the movie's top ethnicity was Hispanic, comprising 42 percent of the audience, followed by Caucasians (26 percent), the ethnicity that's usually the highest percentage

I just don't see why it's that uncommon. 75% is a about 10% higher than most other horror films of the pg-13 kind.
