Kalo
Greetings BOT Members! So after reading Baumer's and Tele's 100 favorite films. which I found very informative and enjoyed immensely. I got this Idea to make a game of sorts out if it. To challenge BOT members to chose a number of films from their lists and watch them by the end of the year. sometime after you watch them post a little review of them. and whose list it was from. Also maybe this will encourage members to do their favorite film countdowns. I am planing on doing a countdown of my own before too long, however I have several films I'd like to watch first. and my school semester is about to get a little hellish I fear. If you do not want to do a countdown you can post a list of your favorite films here. (try to make it at least 50 films). The point of this is to spread awareness of great and perhaps less well known or underrated films and to generate some conversation and perhaps a bit more traffic through this board. so I will start. I challenge myself to watch 5 films (maybe more, but I want to see how many people will do countdowns) I have not seen from Teles and Baumer's list within a year. I have already watched 1 from Baumer's and it was fantastic! Tele's Favorite films: 100. Dr. Zhivago 99. The Rocketeer 98. How to Get Ahead in Advertising 97. Tremors 96. terrestrial
Interesting idea. I'll have to check the German version of some movie titles out of those I do not recognise or am not sure about. I think I have seen a big majority of Tele's list, a few of baumer's I'll not watch as I am no masochist (I really can not stand e.g. the most comedies... in general, only a few like Wanda are extremely / very greatly done, but still not on my favorite list), and some titles of his list I also do not recognise... Depending on my German titles findings it is possible I have less then 5 out of Tele's list not seen yet. I am pretty sure I'll find 5 on baumer's list. I definitivly can do the own favorite list, I already have ~ one at IMDb (a bit of work still needed), but I'll try the title recognising thingie first
Avatree
Great idea The only problem I have is that since virtually none of them are on Netflix, I'd have to buy each of them on blu-ray if I wanted a list of any substantial size

I don't even think you have to have prime to rent. if you do many are free though and they have almost everything to rent for a small fee. I still have to pay for individual films on amazon tho I literally have no money lol. Library is a good idea, I don't know why I hadn't thought of that!
