WrathOfHan
The only reason I made this thread was to talk about theater counts http://www.boxofficemojo.com/counts/chart/?yr=2015&wk=42&p=.htm Black Mass loses 1,002 and Everest loses 1,176. Martian isn't losing much.

grim22
The theater counts for next week will be amazing. Not a particularly inspiring bunch of releases next week. The theater count page made me realize that Pyar ka punchnama 2 is releasing tomorrow. The first was a big sleeper hit back in 2011, they may have waited too long for the follow-up but I will be there to watch it tomorrow for sure. grim22
Record drop incoming. My body is ready. The weekend drop for The Walk is gonna be brutal. Crimson Peak has taken all IMAX screens to itself. Both IMAX exclusive released seemed to fail badly. Everest could have potentially been much bigger with a normal rollout and The Walk should have just gone wide in hindsight.
CJohn
Both IMAX exclusive released seemed to fail badly. Everest could have potentially been much bigger with a normal rollout and The Walk should have just gone wide in hindsight. I think they would still do around the same they did, regardless of the IMAX early release. The Walk also bombed over here and it was a wide release. Everest did good numbers here... just like pretty much everywhere OS. It was never gonna do very well in America either way. I saw both in IMAX. Both worth it. Tau Ceti
The Walk could crack the +2,000 drop on this list next week: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/theaterdrops.htm. Looks like Black Mass is also going to disappear relatively fast. Some disappointment in its numbers I suspect. With due respect to Goosebumps, hoping for a Martian three-peat. The Dark Alfred
Both films were actually good but The Walk always had limited appeal, Everest could have been a solid 80m film with a different release date, the adult demo is overcrowded atm. Walk having IMAX over The Martian must be the worst studio deals of the year, it shows the decline of Fox, WB would have made sure it's getting IMAX rollout. babz06
After all that pre-release hype and buzz for Depp, Black Mass has had an underwhelming run overall. In contrast, The Intern is exceeding expectations and probably going to outgross it. Yikes for, The Walk , Joseph Gordon-Levitt just isnt a star. Viewing its box office, you probably meant that The Walk has absolutely no appeal.
