dashrendar44
I'm rooting for Apes to win courtesy of WETA Digital. Caesar is already a legendary touchstone of the VFX craft, War was their crowning triumph hands down.
Morieris
Would have rather had Kong in the cinematography category but hey. I don't think TLJ's use of practical effects will make it win, but I do think people have forgotten about them and wonder "Well why is THAT here?" I've seen comments saying that Ragnarok should have been in over it and what, some of the effects near the end were really bad. I want it to be Apes, man. vc2002
The academy obviously have different thoughts on how to award the VFX and they decided to not reward any of the 3 Apes films. But I think when it comes to VFX, the VES Awards is obviously more grounded and representing, and all 3 Apes were major big winners in VES. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/16th_Visual_Effects_Society_Awards Edited March 5, 2018 by vc2002
