cookie
Cookie Pictures officially announces 'The Dragon Prince' live-action adaptation Some time ago, Cookie Pictures acquired the film rights to the animated Netflix series 'The Dragon Prince', but today the studio officially confirmed that a live-action adaptation of the property is in early stages of development, following the release of the show's second season. No details as to the cast or director are available as of yet, with Cookie Pictures stating that this is a project for Year 8 and beyond. "We still want to know how the series continues to develop before we do anything drastic", Cookie Pictures President and CEO Sebastian Peters explained. "We're planning to stick closer to the established story line than we're doing with Voltron, and so I feel it's valuable for us to have a good eye on what and where the continuing plot developments go so we know how to structure our adaptation." The series takes place in a fantasy world where humans and elves are in conflict with one another. Humans, unable to use the magic elves were able to possess, turned to dark magic, which angered not only the elves but the dragons that also inherited the land. As a result, a war broke out which ended in the humans being driven to one end of the continent. Many years later the humans, having killed the dragon king and destroyed its egg, is turning to dark magic once again, and another war is imminent. A band of assassin elves is sent to take out the human king Harrow and his heir Prince Ezran, but one of the assassins, Reyla, discovers along with Ezran and his older half-brother Callum that the dragon king's egg actually survived, and join together on a quest to return the egg to the dragons in the hope to stop the coming war. Viren, Harrow's vizier, is intent on war however, and so sends his children Claudia and Soren in pursuit of the princes, the assassin and the egg. The Dragon Prince is not to be confused with DragonBorns, an original property under development at the studio. YM!
@cayommagazine Endless Entertainment shuffles the dates between two of it’s major family tentpoles. Meg LeFauve and Lauren Faust’s animated musical Medusa will move to February 12th, Y5, in order to capitalize on the Valentines Day/President’s Day weekend as it’s message of body positivity should correlate well. Brad Peyton’s family adventure, Artifacts: Zephyr’s Crest starring Shamiek Moore, Hailee Steinfeld and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will move to Medusa’s old spot in March 26th, Y5, in order to gain the coveted IMAX and Easter despite heavy competition from O$corp Pictures’ Bartimaeus and The Golem’s Eye and Blankments Productions’ The Secret Saturdays. The studio is hoping the movie will benefit from the late March spot that helped Oscar Winner Can You Imagine? and Lilo and Stitch.

cookie
@CookiePictures Introducing our expanded cast list and plot synopsis for The Legend of Zelda: Secret of the Guardians! Quote Legend tells of a time when the land of Hyrule was besieged by an ancient evil known only as the Calamity Ganon, a dark manifestation of seething hatred. In an hour of desperate need, the royal family of Hyrule turned to a technologically advanced tribe known as the Sheikah to build them a mechanical army known as the Guardians. The Calamity Ganon was defeated after a long and drawn out conflict, but fearing the technological prowess the Sheikah now possessed the royal family would give the tribe an ultimatum: cast off their technology and assimilate or be banished. Some chose to abandon their heritage and live under the royal family's rule, others would resist and face banishment until this very day. It is ten thousand years later and Hyrule enjoys a lasting and quiet peace, but the mundanity and boredom has settled in for a young Link, an impoverished stable boy yearning for adventure just beyond the kingdom. By a pure stroke of fate, he crosses paths with the royal princess Zelda, out on her own quest to discover the secrets of the now abandoned and dormant Guardians, much to her own father's disapproval. When a mysterious individual arrives and causes havoc throughout Hyrule, all while predicting the return of the Calamity Ganon, Link and Zelda are forced to work together to uncover the Guardians' mysteries while also fending off the mysterious foe and prevent the Calamity Ganon's resurgence, a journey that will not only lead them all across the many realms of Hyrule but also through the hidden and complicated history of their land. YM!
@cayommagazine Infinite Studios has bought and greenlighting a very controversial Jordan Peele project tentatively titled “Eyes” with Michael B. Jordan as it’s main lead. Endless Entertainment CEO, Xavier B Irving is planning on writing the project with Peele. The plot for Eyes is very unknown but it is said to tackle the abuse of power of celebrities in Hollywood for disgusting actions such as Harvey Weinstein and race relations. The film unlike Us, Get Out or the still upcoming Smells Like School Spirit, won’t contain horror or thriller but rather a full out drama. Irving says he was really inspired by “By The Balls”, particularly the ending saying that although that it isn’t a thriller, the haunting aura will be felt. The project will arrive Y6 and is reportedly part of the Big 4 for Endless Entertainment/Infinite Studios next to Super Mario Bros and two other undisclosed films. Ezen Baklattan
@CayomMagazine James Rollestone drops out of SPARK: A HERO'S PROMISE due to filming commitments with Voltron sequels (Farmiga has a small enough voice only role to stay on) and an untitled Hourglass Pictures project to be announced. His role will be taken over by Shameik Moore. Moore will play the role of Keryx, a soldier in the Soltaran forces tasked as the main protector and confidante of the newly coronated Queen Xevarre. His doubts on their people's conquest are more far more apparent then Xevarre's, but he must protect her at all costs no matter what. Will he betray his empire to do what's right, or will he fall under the pressure of what should be his destiny? 2
