Yikes, that’s kinda disappointing for Freddy Zapper. I could understand a WOM run but considering the opening, that second weekend hold is pretty dire.

 

Oh well, perhaps this is compensation for Y1 being a pretty successful year for me.

Did realize this but Closed Domain falls on the second weekend of Blank.

 

Can both coexist? Will CD get a smaller than expected opening because Blank holds? Or will Blank drop sharper than expected due to CD?

To be fair, CD is only opening in limited release next weekend. It goes wide on the 12th.

Flower Eyes is doing what I was expecting.

Thought Zapper had breakout potential, however I still think the sequel will surprise. Bandicoot should thankfully end around $115M at least, Samurai Pizza Cats can hurt it.

I was hoping for a Zapper breakout, but I’m not too shocked by the numbers.

 

It’s a niche, odd premise without any major stars, while it maybe was caught in the trap of being too weird for families and too immature for adults.

 

Hopefully WOM can pick its legs up, though. The second weekend drop isn’t encouraging given the lack of competition, but it could stabilize.
