Ezen Baklattan
So @YourMother the Edgelord did you think Notes From The Otherspace was long? Because....I may or may not have added a thousand words to it.

Okay good, because it's now live and it's over 8,700 words long. It's 92.5% the same movie, but the ending is spruced up a bit and grammar is fixed up too.

YM!
Should I give Dazzled a PG-13 or R rating. I fell like it leans more towards PG-13 but I want feedback.

Rorschach
Updated my FYC post. For Odyssey, I mostly kept only the new characters (with the exceptions for Jackman, Winslet, and Assante) for the Acting categories.
Ezen Baklattan
@cookie @4815162342 Notes From The Otherspace should remedy my a-hole parent problem found in Seeing Her. She makes a few questionable decisions, but she really does care about her daughter and tries to be better at the end. Joan Cusack will probably be my strongest bid for Best Supporting Actress. As long as it doesn't include parts like this: Quote For the rest of the evening, the parents try to tell Oliver that he’ll find someone else, Or this what-the-fuckery: Quote Susan rolls her eyes, telling him that this angst was always a part of him, and it’s been quite irritating. You'll be fine. Edited February 19, 2018 by cookie

I may tweak it a little. But the basic gist is... Kendrick suffers from anxiety and depression and gets fired from her job due to factors she can’t control. After she accidentally puts her phone on and has a panic attack, her mom, terrified that she may hurt herself, wants to see her. Much of the second half involves her mom trying to find the best way to help with her mental wellbeing. She ultimately learns to just listen and be there for her daughter and let her heal the way she thinks is best The mother isn’t perfect and sometimes is a bit brash, but she truly does care. Interesting......... From what I hear, I'll either like it or hate it. Feels like a film with no middle ground.

Hmm... that in no way makes the mom an asshole but it is going to raise the question of whether her actions are good for her daughter or not. It's going to be very context dependent. Like letting someone cure their depression their own way can sometimes work out but depending on how far it goes there'd come a point where she'd be ignorant to not get Kendrick professional help. Ezen Baklattan
That was a very simplistic description of it, tbh. I will try to tweak it a wee bit in places. Kendrick does go to a therapist and does take anti-depressants at the end. It being a fantasy movie movie does raise some issues, but I was definitely thinking about Where The Wild Things Are in making the film, and I’ve consulted a lot of articles on helping people with depression. I don’t want to spoil it too much, but I did try to put justice within the topic of mental health.
Ezen Baklattan
I know I probably shouldn’t tweak the film too much if it was already live, but I know this is sensitive (and honestly, somewhat personal) territory for me, so I really care about getting this right. I don’t want it to be another AFTER PARTY.
