I really, really didn’t want to see this movie but my friend forced me to see it with him. Shockingly, I ended up liking it quite a lot. I really liked the homages to the 90’s, reminded me of my childhood. But, holy shit those some bad ass kids in the movie lol

Saw this because @Water Bottle told me he loved it.  I understand why now.  A film that just feels real.  The casting is superb and Jonah Hill did a terrific job writing and directing,  There's two break out performances in it and I really hope they both get more work.  The lead actor is Sunny Suljic and he is simply magnetic.  And the leader of the group is named Ray and he is played by Na-Kel Smith.  Simply brilliant, both of them.  

 

It's a story about trying to find your way in the world, wanting to belong, friendship, first love/sex experience and growing up.  Hill really directs with passion and he's smart with his own script.  He has a few really quiet moments that were so raw and genuine that I felt like these were kids I knew.  

 

This would have made my top ten last year.  Really good film.

Saw this on Amazon Prime a month ago, a pretty good movie. The kid does a really good job for a film of this nature, and the teenagers like Fuck Shit do a pretty good job too! Grade: B+
