Heretic
I guess factoring in things like orange Wednesday and discounted weekday prices makes it more difficult to estimate ticket sales.
htall90
Yh in London or any other city less then £7.50 is a bargain! Cinema prices are so expensive now when i was kid it was a cheap day out lol. If you asked most people how much prices have gone up in the last 10 years most would say they have double and they would not be that far from the truth they have certainly almost double since titanic. Heretic
I remember when prices were £4.50.
htall90
Orange Wednesday is fairly modern so Skyfall benefit from that. IMO Titanic sold more tickets then Skyfall as cinema tickets have gone up more then £3 since 98 more like double since then these figures are very hard to believe just from my experience of living in the UK and going to the cinema. htall90
Lol yh back in early blair years when I was a young teenage the good times. It is often spoken about in Britain in general chit chat about how much cinema prices have soared in the last few years in particular. Heretic
Indeed. And £7.40 at my local ODEON is teen price. Adult price is over £9, and that's just for 2D. If you go for 3D, for an adult it's £12!!! Fuck off, who's gonna pay that much?
htall90
I've heard families don't eat for a week after paying to see the latest kid movies in 3d lol!

Olive
In my city(Chengdu,China), A 2D movie cost 30 yuan(£3); and 3D needs 45yuan(£4.5).We get relatively low salaries, average is 3000 yuan(£300) per month. Heretic
I once stupidly bought an Ice cream for £3.50 on Westminster bridge.
Heretic
I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see The Hobbit hit £2m today. It's been absolutely packed all day. That would mean a likely £6-7m 3rd weekend, up from last weekend.

Jesus Christ this sort of stuff makes me hate Camerons Britain lol. The worst pricing to happen recently was when 99s stop being 99p there should be a law against that happening!
