I guess piracy(even hi-def Blu-ray one) really doesn't mean a thing when it comes to BO, looking at the Grandpa result here, and, of cource, DM2 gross in China, no worry for "Wolf"(#1 on torrents for more than 2 weeks already) and other leaked movies then.

Btw, Viy* has got more shows than Hobbit on OW at my local theater, ~$15m OW is quite likely.., especially since Champions are doing so bad.

Oh, ok. Just noticed about JR too. I wonder why Frozen passed Imax here, it should be a no-brainer for such a big movie.

Disney Animation in general doesn't do IMAX. Actually, very few animated films do. None are filmed in IMAX format/resolution, so you're really just in it for a bigger screen. Which is usually something you'd look for in case of big, live-action explosions.

(Dreamworks may go for IMAX more often. I saw How To Train Your Dragon on an IMAX screen in London.)

Also, most IMAX screens (at least in the US) tend to get dedicated to one film at a time. Catching Fire had them at the time of Frozen's release (since it did have IMAX footage), and The Hobbit took them a few weeks later.

Since ekinobilet is suddenly so off, i add on ~60% to their numbers(~140% for "ILD" :D, i guess ekinobilet doesn't track most of it ~200 screens, same with Frozen and most of the holdovers, it seems), instead of the usual ~40%, i hope i'm not over :D
