Fullbuster
Looks like Spider-Man grossed $650,000 in IMAX previews. Much less than The Avengers.Bad :(I know it's just IMAX previews but if it's a trend we can forget $43M for TASM there (TA gross), but more than $30m is still realistic. Fullbuster
BTW I forgot Russians aren't fans of SH movies, The Avengers is an exception, the only exception.More than $20m for TASM would be good given these conditions, more than $30m would be great (it would be the most successful SH movies after TA).I dream or the Russian market weakened lastly? Or it's just the currency effect? Can you enlighten us Juni, how is it compared to 2011 for now? Because I'm not so optimistic for Ice Age 4 now

Fullbuster
Why do you keep repeating that although it is not correct? http://www.obs.coe.i...012_cinema.html OMG your numbers are totally wrong This is the real data : Russia/CIS box office (excluding Ukraine) grows 11.74% in 2011. The Russian and the CIS box office (except Ukraine) set a new record in 2011, reaching $1.155 billion, which is 11.74% higher, over the previous year, when it estimated at $1.057 billion, according to Russia’s Film Business Today. German productions accounted for 18.4% of box office take, led by Til Schweiger's rom-com 'Kokowaah.' BERLIN– It looks as if German distributors will have a happy holidays, as preliminary box office figures point to an increase in revenue for the year, with a total take of more than $1.1 billion. Numbers from Rentrak from Dec. 30, 2010 through Dec. 18 2011 put German box office revenue at $1.14 billion (€871.7 million), suggesting the year will end 3-3.5 per cent up on 2010. Admissions figures were flat at around 115 million but higher priced 3-D tickets more than made up the difference. So yeah, Russia is ahead of Germany The BFI Research and Statistics Unit facts and figures indicate that for the first time ever, more than £1 billion ($1.56 billion) was coralled from cinemagoers -- excluding takings in the Republic of Ireland normally included in the totals -- on the back of box office wizardry for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, regal takings for The King’s Speech and bawdy laughs for The Inbetweeners. Potter was number one with £73 million ($114.6 million), Speech took £45.6 million ($71.6 million) and Inbetweeners grabbed £45 million ($70.6 million). The U.K. box office total nosed over with £1.04 billion ($1.63 billion), a rise of 5 percent on 2010 with total admissions tallying up to 171.6 million in 2011, up 1.4 percent on the previous year. The record-breaking grosses must be digested in the context of a hike in the tax on cinema tickets which rose from 17.5 percent to 20 percent in January 2011. But yeah I was wrong for UK, but Russia will pass it in 2014. Russia will be much bigger than the other European countries for BO in the future, it's normal because it's 142 million people (= France + Germany). Not to mention, that the data you're trusting includes one day of 2010 and excludes the last 13 days of 2011.
