Still undecided if I should watch it or not... From what I remember the later autumn and winter weather of 2017 was pretty terrible in Bavaria and Saxony with very little sunshine. Therefor the summers in Bavaria have become better for two or three years now. But the summers before were often very erratically so it's no wonder people don't bank on it and do as much as possible outdoor. By the way, the WM-buzz seems still a bit low, no? But that will probably change fast. The 3D in JWFK atleast isnt bad or too distracting. If you liked JW and are able to ignore ach was ich schreibs auf Deutsch. Das Drehbuch und die Dialoge sind recht unterirdisch, aber alle technischen Aspekte und besonders die Dinos selbst sind fantastisch. Typisches Hirn aus-Spektakel. Back to english: The Word Cup buzz is a bit muted i think because of the russia doping allegations and generally the fact that the tournament is in Russia. And the german team has played rather badly in the last two matches and you have the Gündogan-Özil-Erdogan controversy. I do think that this all changes once the ball starts rolling.

Is it possible that Universal allows more 2D showings later?

Taruseth
12.83€ per ticket that is awfully expensive, that would be roughly $15! In $ that could be like the first film to have more expensive tickets than Avatar on OW (14.94$ per Ticket) TFA TP on Opening Weekend: 11.85€ ≈ 12.73$ TLJ TP on Opening Weekend: 12.14€ ≈ 14.34$

Its so expensive that you just cant go to it that many times a year if you have a lower/average income. Another reason why moviegoing is declining here i think. JW average TP on Opening Weekend was 11.15€ ≈ 12.57$ That increase is crazy. I would want to say something about Sunday, but I won't as the cinema behaves totally different than the rest of Germany. Because incredible Thursday increase, literally no Saturday increase and now it looks like a big drop on Sunday, so I guess Sunday might be more walk up heavy than the other days. Yeah, definitely, in comparison Germany always was a not so good BO country. But shouldn't this affect other countries too and it seems to be way worse here (and in Austria) than in other markets. el sid
The Thursday estimates for the whole country look like that: The new releases: Pope Francis - A Man of His Word: 7.5k (released in 566 theaters) Overboard: 1.5k (181) Hereditary: 3.5k (157) Just Getting Started: under 1k (153) The holdovers (at least much better numbers than last Thursday): JW2: 42.5k (last week we had no estimates but the estimates for JW three years ago came pretty close to the actual numbers; actuals for JW2 last Thursday were 72k) Solo: 14k (18k) DP2: 13.5k (19k) A: IW: 1.5k (4k) - hopefully that number will go up as it was the rule in previous weeks Truth Or Dare: 1.5k The South-West report counted today for JW2 967 admissions (last Thursday 1.671), for Solo 245 admissions (last week 433), DP2 had 312 admissions (418), and A: IW had 41 (77) in the selected theaters → so in both reports it looks pretty similar for JW2 with a drop under 50% . And the new releases: Pope Francis 69, Overboard 49, Hereditary 150 (so both times Hereditary is in front of Overboard) and Just Getting Started 8. Mark_G predicts a minus of 40% for JW 2 and each 50% for Solo, DP 2 and A: IW this weekend. Edited June 14, 2018 by el sid
