We’re from the same city … kind of. I have a place there but I actually live in a small town over 300km away. I always go to Fortaleza to watch movies in IMAX.

That's cool, I always go there. It's the best screen in the state.

10 Perdida 81.000 -90.1% 1.670.000 3.890 82.000

This weekend sold R$113.2M on the box office and 5.3M tickets, an increase of 276% over the last weekend. Outstanding weekend that despite the massive overperformance of Barbie the whole top 4 overperformed. I don't have data to support, but I believe this was the best weekend of all time?

Barbie had the third best opening of all time, the best for Warner, the best for a non-comic book and the best for a non-sequel. Despite coming in third it beat the occupancy of Endgame and NWH, giving Barbie released in 2050 screens vs 2800 of the other two. Don't be upset it did not beat NWH, giving the rollout that was the best possible result.

Oppenheimer had the second best debut for a Nolan film, losing only to Dark Knight Rises, that opened to R$13.5M.

MI7 have passed 1 million admissions and Elemental 3 million, after excelent holds for both. Perdida despite good WoM dropped a horrible 90%. The bad release date made it lose all of its screens and female audience to Barbie. Despite this, it will become the third best selling brazilian movie soon.

Next weekend releases Haunted Mansion, Kandahar and Consecration. Joy Ride will be holding previews.

$25M is being reported for Barbie until wednesday, around R$123M, that until someone comes up with a higher number again.

For comparison, on the first 7 days Endgame made R$161.5, NWH R$151.3M and IW R$108.3M. NWH had a 69% drop on the second weekend, Barbie should have a much stronger hold.
