ThatWaluigiDude
Based on the current pace of pre-sales, Joker 2 is being estimated (unoficially, not by Warner) an opening of R$20M. The first movie had the october record with an R$31M opening.

ThatWaluigiDude
Compared to the last 5 Burton movies, the first week of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was better than Frankenweenie, Big Eyes and Dark Shadows, but inferior to Dumbo and Miss Peregrine.
ThatWaluigiDude
The first day of the Cinema Week made R$1.7M and 141k tickets sold, it was the lowest first day from a Cinema Week (The four previous editions had 200k+ admissions on the first day). This puts a question mark if the 3M admissions for the weekend will be reached. The top movie was Beetlejuice with R$822k and 40k admissions. Speak No Evil opened in 2nd with 216.5k and 17.3k admissions. The movies with the biggest boost were Inside Out 2 (168%) and Despicable Me 4 (148%). ThatWaluigiDude
Silvio is currently suffering from some toxic WoM, reaching a pretty low score on IMDB. There was some expectations that the death of Silvio Santos would bring more interest for the movie, but the opposite happened with audiences accusing the movie to be disrespectful and complaining about the acting and the misleading marketing. The movie's budget is R$9.8M. Edited Saturday at 03:34 PM by ThatWaluigiDude
ThatWaluigiDude
I have no clue what was that all about, but when I saw Wild Robot they showed before the movie an interview and a trailer for Paws of Fury. That movie came out two years ago!
ThatWaluigiDude
The weekend of the 5th Cinema Week sold 1.29M tickets, making it the weakest weekend of the previous Cinema Weeks, by far actually since every previous edition sold more than 2M tickets. Very far from the 3M tickets they were predicting. This can be blamed on the lack of stronger new releases and on the strongest movies right now being old already. IMO the last weekend of september would have been such a better candidate than this one...

A weak Cinema Week this was, partly affected by the Rock in Rio and just the lack of stronger new releases. Unlike previous editions, only one movie increased on the box office, despite several increasing on admissions. Deadpool had the best average this weekend, It Ends With Us gets closer to 3M admissions, Longlegs despite the not impressive opening is showing long legs (heh) and will pass 500k admissions soon. The Wild Robot had it's pre-release with a healthy R$1M+, though it felt kinda desperate to have something stronger this weekend, since the movie will only be out one month from now. Silvio bombed, not helped by bad reviews and toxic WoM. Next weekend releases The Substance, Dragonkeeper, Passagrana, Bocaina, Sympathy For the Devil, and the re-releases of Batman and The Batman. 1
