Wally
One of the rare cheap things in Brazil,a country where a pizza can cost you $30 in Sao Paulo. I think this isn't accurate. I don't live in São Paulo, but I doubt it reaches that price.
alisson23
The minimum wage is R$ 724 here, something like $323. $6 is high for us .

Fullbuster
I think this isn't accurate. I don't live in São Paulo, but I doubt it reaches that price. Prices Fuel Outrage in Brazil, Home of the $30 Cheese Pizza SÃO PAULO, Brazil — Shoppers here with a notion of what items cost abroad need to brace themselves when buying a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone: the same model that costs $615 in the United States is nearly double that in Brazil. An even bigger shock awaits parents needing a crib: the cheapest one at Tok & Stok costs over $440, more than six times the price of a similarly made item at Ikea in the United States. For Brazilians seething with resentment over wasteful spending by the country’s political elite, the high prices they must pay for just about everything — a large cheese pizza can cost almost $30 — only fuel their ire. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/23/world/americas/prices-fuel-outrage-in-brazil-home-of-the-30-cheese-pizza.html?_r=0 Edited April 23, 2014 by Fullbuster

IMAX ticket sometimes costs $30 there... $30, it's beyond belief, I just can't believe people are willing to pay that, I mean salaries in Beijing are not exactly at the same level than in New York for example... It reminds me about an article I recently read...The average price of a house in San Francisco is now reaching $1 million, it's out of this world. Well, no one thought India could organize the commonwealth games, and even a day prior to the opening ceremony that seemed to be the case. But the games went off fine - the aftermath is still not complete.

India is not a country with a high crime rate like Brazil, it's not the same situation, not the same culture, and the economic growth is very slow for such a country since 2012, not helped by a high inflation rate so the standards of living stale. Remove the high crime rate (I think), and the rest applies perfectly to India as well. High inflation, slow growth since 2011, standards of living slipping.
