Carlangonz
2022 YEARLY RESULTS. As per CANACINE final results are in: $12.027B final gross. +60% from 2021 and now at 63% from 2019 results (all-time record) 181.8M admissions sold. +60% from 2021 but only 52% from 2019 numbers (all-time record) $66.1 lc average ticket price. New all-time high and +1.9% from 2021. +15.55% from 2019 1.41 attendance per habitant. 56% up from 2021 and half of 2019 results. Local cinema is now at an all-time low from market share with only 3.2% of yearly total grossed by local titles. Only one title surpassed 1M admissions and it's been 3 years now since the last time a national film grossed $100M+ Disney has taken back the yearly crown with $3.51B gross followed by Universal with $2.92B. Warner is next with $1.65B despite the (former) 45-Day window. In good news, apparently the country has climbed back to the 4th place in worldwide admissions only behind India, China and US. ( @charlie Jatinder can confirm if India was bigger than the latter two) As for USD ranking it was 11th with $607M and behind Canada 7,471 screens at the end of the year. +219 screens from 2021 and 54 screens left to reach 2019 levels. Cinepolis takes the lead with 4,090 screens (54.75% market share) followed by Cinemex with 2,868 screens (38.4% market share) Full report over here 6

Purple Minion
ATP has really exploded in the last decade. After 10 years, The Avengers has been kicked out of the All Time Top 10 in lc, even though it sits firmly at #8 in audience. It had the record as the #1 movie from 2012 to 2017 when it was dethroned by Coco. I can't see any movie entering the top in 2023. Fast X? Aquaman 2? Purple Minion
$45.4M total for Avatar 2, weekdays are now understandably much lower than previous weeks. ER is also below 19 (lowest in two years) so Disney's number-crunchers must be busy. Edited January 11, 2023 by Purple Minion

Closer to $950M. We may see the 5th weekend record on the table as well. Once again a tight race versus Coco.

Purple Minion
Thanks a million! Avatar 2's road to the all time Top 5 looks like this. It should go higher than The Lion King, but not sure about hitting Coco's level. 05 1,132,277,291 Coco (2017) 06 996,060,725 The Lion King (2019) 07 951,890,000 Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) Puss in Boots 2 is doing great, I'll laugh if it passes Lightyear.
