Plus, WW and Cars 3 will be barriers on its BO run.
Carlangonz
MAY 26TH-28TH WEEKEND. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES OPENS DECENTLY WHILE GET OUT DISSAPOINTS. Opening at 3,492 locations; POTC 5 or known in Mexico as 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge' started with $121 M lc ($6.5 MD). As Deadline reported yesterday, that's an opening 14% higher that the previous installment. However, it's 45% behind of the opening of Beauty and the Beast last march and 22% behind Maleficent back in 2014. Those two films went to an end of +$500 M lc. This won't be the case, not even will get close to the $337.7 M lc of 'Stranger Tides'. After three weeks at no. 1, this weekend going to no. 2 we find 'How to be a Latin Lover', which is still playing at 920 screens. The comedy had a bigger drop this weekend and went from $45 M to $19 M, and now can show a $425.3 M cumulative. $450 M is quite possible. Get Out was the other big opener of the weekend and it did on third spot. The horror film made just $14 M after months of its american release. Piracy definitely affected its performance, many people expected the film since their domestic opening but it got to late here. Despite bad reviews, at fourth position stands King Arthur', which amassed $7.8 M and now count with a $103 M total. In fifth place is the motivational spanish film, The Healer adds $7.5 M to its amount of $32 M. Purple Minion
From Forbes: "Offhand, WW earned $8.4 million in Mexico, which is the fourth-biggest WB debut ever over there and above all relevant comparisons save for Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad." So about 155M lc. I think SS had a great multiplier, so 350-400M lc ($19-21.5M) total? Or more? What's the competition?

What's the competition? $157.16 M, which is on par with GotG Vol 2. $350 M is locked, $400 M is a big chance and roof is $420 M. Faces 'Mummy' next week and Cars 3 in two weeks. Then comes the juggernaut of the summer in June 30th: Despicable Me 3, but at that point WW must be close to end its run.

Carlangonz
JUNE 2TH -4TH WEEKEND REPORT. WONDERFUL OPENING FOR GADOT AND JENKINS. PIRATES DROPS 49% AND DERBEZ IS GOING TO 450 M Falling-off from Sunday estimates, DC's Wonder Woman has ended its OW with incredible $153.64 M lc ($8.21 MD). That's ahead of this year's Logan numbers ($110.1 M lc) and Man of Steel back in june 2013 ($122.9), which is also DC's property. And is behind from the $157 M of GotG Vol 2 just a few weeks ago and 26% down from the Suicide Squad start last year. But that's just fun with numbers. The question is: How far will Diana Prince will go? Wonder Woman is having so much better reputation among audiences that any of the other DCEU previous films, but let's imagine that Tom Cruise, Lightning MacQueen and Dwayne Johnson take it off a lot of screens and audience the next two weeks and performance like MoS or BvS, it should end its run with $305-$325 M lc, but that's unlikely to happen. Now, let's say that from today until thursday scores good numbers and Mummy, Cars 3 and Baywatch (which is very able to get a 'C' rating) don't hurt it so bad, let's say it performs more like Suicide Squad with a 2.65 multiplier and finishes with $407.1 M. The problem is that SS didn't had as much competence as WW, so a most probable result is $370-380 M, which would be on par with Logan and GOTG 2 multipliers. With a 49% drop, POTC 5 charted in second spot making $51 M for a $227.4 M cume. In third place is unstoppable HTBALL getting a $10 M weekend for $444 M after a month in theatres. WKND LC/TOTAL LC TOTAL DOLLARS Wonder Woman $153.64 M/$153.64 M $8.2 M Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales $51.36 M/$227.4 M $12 M How to be a Latin Lover $10 M/$444 M $23.6 M The Healer $6.4 M/$42 M $2.2 M Get Out $6.3 M/$26 M $1.3 M A Stork's Journey $3.8 M/$17.7 M $947 M Sadako vs. Kayako $2.5 M/$2.5 M $135 K UEFA Champions League Finale.
