Carlangonz
Quote Mexico grossed an estimated $444K on 1,146 screens, ranking second only behind Fox’s debut title War for the Planet of the Apes. The Imax results have tripled the market average. The total gross so far is $754K. So that's a $7.9M friday for Dunkirk. $13.27M to date, with that great IMAX performance can go higher of $35M lc and $2M USD. And Chris always does great in IMAX, that was the only record of TDKR in Mexico; biggest IMAX launch all-time, but i think the record now belongs to TFA. Carlangonz
According to ComScore, Dunkirk is reporting $534K lc ($30.09K USD) from 14 IMAX screens on its Friday numbers. Surprisingly is just 6.75% of its total gross but still amazing considering the IMAX screens are barely 1.2% of its total number of screens. Other facts got are: - For Dunkirk numbers: 74% ($9.8M) are from Cinepolis, 24% ($3.18M) from Cinemex and 2% ($265K) from another small chains - For Apes numbers: 68% ($30.28M) are from Cinepolis, 29% ($12.91M) from Cinemex and 3% ($1.33M) from remaining chains

If the actuals are close that would be an awesome new for the film, $100M would be a sure thing and may end at the Inception and Interstellar levels ($120M) - The Emoji Movie. marveldcfox
hahahahaha....omg. look at thay Valerian number. Lmao. People don't give a shit about Besson and the leads. That's proven. Besson + A list lead works. Not otherwise. I think Besson must have learnt an expensive lesson.

Fullbuster
Just now, marveldcfox said: Both. Dehaan much more. Well, I agree that DeHaan shouldn't be there, he should look older, hotter according to the comic book. Delevingne is hot and is relatively ok. Still, if it's why you hate the movie so much it's pretty sad, it's pretty impressive, more than SW TFA for example. ^^

I don't know if the flop in everywhere else (except France and Germany, of course) affected the distribution in here. Even Apes on its 2nd weekend had more screens that Valerian, i don't have the exact number but my local theatre with 11 screens has 9 showtimes (3 on 3D) against 13 of Apes and 10 of Emoji. And that's everywhere. The PLF and 4D screens are shared with Dunkirk and Apes.
Carlangonz
AUGUST 3-6 WEEKEND. APES STRONGER TOGETHER AGAINST EMOJIS AND VALERIAN. DUNKIRK HOLDS INCREDIBLY WELL. War for the Planet of the Apes - 15% behind Dawn. Next weekend faces Baby Driver and in 2 weeks to Anabelle. Right now heads for $270-$280 total Emoji and Valerian are far from being hits, Emoji is really not well received for audiences and next weekend opens Captain Underpants, which seems a better option for kids who still in vacations. Valerian: Low number of screens + Space adventure is not something loved in Mexico (unless you're Star Wars or GOTG) = Big meh Dunkirk - Great hold for the movie. Can it go to +$100M land? With 3 wide releases next weekend (Captain Underpants, Baby Driver and local movie Hazlo como Hombre) will have a severe screen loss, which will definitely hurt its performance.
