It definitely feels like the studio is just dumping it. Release date announced a few weeks before opening, trailer only a month before release, first screenings at AFI the week it opens. I'm guessing after the Joker bomb WB has just given up on the rest of the year cause that animated Lord of the Rings movie isn't making much either.

Im guessing WB is just punting on the rest of year and they dont see this movie making any money even with a wide release marketing campaign.   Sadly, adult dramas don't make much in theaters anymore unless Nolan's name is attached.

If true, really goes to show that the big corporations don’t give a damn about their artists. One of THE Hollywood legends has made his final film, someone who has made WB tons of money on movies like American Sniper, and yet they will just abandon it like this. Shame.

All the adult dramas fizzling this year (some of them with ample marketing muscle behind them) definitely doesn't make anyone confident. FWIW I think even Here will be lucky to make $35M total.

Shit like this is why I’m happy that Christopher Nolan apparently told WB to screw off when they tried to court him back.
