This series is going out with a bang! One of those rare series that managed to actually get much better in later seasons, I'm glad we're getting a proper finale. It was very close because I thought If-Then-Else was awesome but Spoiler Root and Elias's deaths put the episode over the top for me. They came full circle with the 2 characters and I just loved that both got their time to shine in this episode. There was so much to like about this episode but I loved the ridiculous action scenes and the writer's acknowledgement at how over the top they are. It's like they know that kneecapping people so much that they lie down after being shot was kinda ridiculous but then they upped the ridiculousness with the gatling gun not shredding the car to bits. They are showing us how indestructible Team Machine is lol. There's something about Person of Interest's ridiculous action scenes that make me like the show even more than if it were realistic. I don't know why but what I would knock against other shows, I don't with Person of Interest. I think it's because the writers try their hardest to get the technical/story details right (remember the PS3 supercomputer? or the random liquid nitrogen tanks left out on the sidewalk? those are all real!). I think the show is of 2 minds; it wants to create that paranoid, cyber punk feel and the other is that action porn of watching cars get rolled or blown up or people being kneecapped.

Ah they were great too although I gotta be honest and say I stopped watching Person of Interest for about a year after it because of Carter's murder. I loved her character, I lost a connection to the show right there. I only came back to it cause I heard great things about the show after her death and I gotta say that the show actually got even better since. AndyLL
So sorry this show is canceled. It is only one I watched weekly. The past few shows have been brutal.... I assume the final episode will just tie up lose ends. Spoiler I'm betting there will be a 'hint' that the machine survived its death

Arlborn
It was a beautiful episode indeed. This show is so underrated, sad to see it cancelled but I'm happy they made it last so long despite the GA usually disliking this type of serialized shows. I guess the key here was making it look like a procedural at first.
