They do know how to take advantage of timing by having Chris Evans filming there first thing while CA2 is in theaters. I read that ScarJo will also be there. Is there any reports of other principal cast members' sightings?

Scarlett Johansson is actually confirmed not to be joining mainly because of the pregnancy.

The only confirmed members at this present time is Chris evans and Su-hyun (korean actress who plays the scientist role)

Thanks. That's a shame. But her pregnancy is the most important, can't risk that.I hope other cast members will be there too. Soo-Hyun plays a friend of Tony Stark so it makes little sense for him not to be there. There are reports that location filming in Seoul will total up to 20 min of AoU. That's awesome. Can't wait!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier dominated the box office this weekend. It sets new March OW record, dethroning former record holder Noah which held it for only a week. It already almost tripled CA: TFA's total(514,417), and opened 40% above Thor: TDW's 5-day OW(1,053,070). WoM is really great. And there are no significant competitors until April 24th when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens. That means 4m admissions and $30m are almost guaranteed at this point. 5m doesn't look so far either.

Noah collapsed at its second weekend with 65% drop. Bad WoM and CA2 overperforming hurt it badly. Seems it will end at only slightly above 2m admissions and just shy of $15m.

Elegant Lies held decently at its 3rd weekend. 1.6m is likely. I'd say its performance is very good considering low expectations before the release.

The Grand Budapest Hotel increased from last weekend. Non-holiday increase is a rare thing so it's pretty awesome. 450k is likely, which is a exceptionally impressive run for an arthouse film.

Anything below #4 figures are very low. Only worth mentioning is Miss Granny has lasted in top 10 for ten consecutive weekends. The last film did that is The Croods last summer.

Next Week:

Lone Survivor

3 Days to Kill

August: Osage County

Saving Mr. Banks

Mr. Perfect (백프로)

Sadly, all of these are gonna flop. CA2 will easily dominate the box office again next week.

Thor 2 was shown in fewer theaters (100 less) in South Korea in the opening week due to a dispute between one major theater chain that operates many theaters including IMAX in Seoul with Sony and Disney, which makes the difference between CA2 and Thor2's box office in South Korea appear bigger than what it would have been.

March 2014

SK box office saw a slight decrease in admissions compared 2013 but it was still significantly higher than what it was 2 years ago.

Little to no breakout movies before Noah's OW is probably the reason for the fall. The final 2 weeks were epic though with the March OW record being broken consecutively first by Noah and then by CA:TWS

First quarter results in admissions (Jan-March)

2012

January-16,628,650

February-13,065,438

March-11,392,750

Total:41,086,838

2013

January-20,366,780

February-21,824,737

March-13,283,204

Total: 55,474,721

2014

January-23,599,672

February-18,558,063

March-12,402,027

Total: 54,559,762
