chasmmi
How are presales in South Korea? Presales don't usually begin until around 10-14 days before a release absolute maximum, even for a megafilm. I imagine they'll start appearing this week, maybe even today. oh.. and be insame also.

Otherwise yeah sometime this week sounds likely.

Maybe it will be released sooner rather than later if Terminator genisys gets a good reception.

Rsyu
'Korea research' found in their TGI trend report that 75.2% of the population or 28.3 million people visited the cinema at least once during the year 2014. The average viewing number among this group was shown to be 8 times. Among the different age groups, the teens and 20s group was the highest with 94.2% followed by the 30s (85.6%), 40s (77.3%), 50s (61.2%) and 60s (31.5%) age group. The most popular genre was action (14.1%) followed by crime/detective/thriller (12.5%), romantic comedy (11.9%) and romance (9.8%). In response to the frequency of going to the cinemas, 'once in 2~3 months' got the most replies with 21.4% of the votes. Subsequent responses included once in 4~5 months (16.0%), once a month (13.1%) and once every 6 months (12.0%). The most popular way of deciding which film to watch was by asking friends and close acquaintances. This accounted for 43.0% of the responses. Other methods included watching T.V film guide programs (23.0%), portal website film ratings (18.2%), and visiting the pertaining film website (14.2%). This research, conducted against 100,111 people between the ages of 13 and 69, followed and analyzed their film consumption patterns. The sampling confidence level was 95.0% with +/-0.97% margin of error.

The Avengers reached 56.6% share and 68,956 tickets the day before release. Likewise, IM3 had a 80.9% share and 204,694 tickets D-1. Hopefully AoU follows IM3 more.
